"Flawless. On arrival my partner had a big sugar drop, Trevor, (general manager) was on it straight away, getting her a drink to help bring her back up again. Once composed we ordered food. A starter to share of camembert and artisan bread, very nice. I then had a posh fish finger sandwich and fries, doing the sandwich a bit of a dishonor calling them fish fingers, they were so much better than that. My partner had a fillet steak sandwich and she couldn't fault it, meat was cooked perfectly. We also had a side of haloumi fries which were also spot on. Had a chocolate orange bomb for a sweet. Shared between the two of us and couldn't of had one each as very rich but all the same very tasty. Trevor was very attentive even when he seemed very busy. For all the above well deserved 5 star and will be returning."

Recently refurbished pubThe interior is very much done in a nautical theme, but not as bad as it may sound.

friendly, helpful staff and very good service. good selection of meals in the offer and beautiful interieur. the food was well presented and delicious. good choice of weeping and ales (from cornwall, but that is not bad thing.)

Smart, tastefully dining room. A welcome stop at the end of a long walk. Friendly welcome, attentive but not intrusive waiter (james). The wine menu is extensive. Partner had the burger and I had the prawn linguine, both delicious. Highly recommended. View menu

what a sound! we had abandoned on lymington after the up and down of high street and looking for an evening meal. fortunately we wandered to kai and found this beautiful place. amazing eating, everything was delicious. service was excellent and the price surprised me to be so low! definitely recommend

fantastic our favorite pub in lymington! as always the service and eating were great, we had dinner last night 6 evenings to celebrate my brother's birthday. our waitress was friendly and helpful with cocktail and menu choices and eating was delicious. would recommend a visit if they visit beautiful lymington.

we visited for lunch without planning or booking, as it was a good informal pub through the boats on the kai beyond the gravel area. Although we were busy with a steady customer stream, we sat and served quickly. friendly staff, good beer, decent menu. all very efficient and pleasant, indoor and outdoor tables. View menu

the food was absolutely delicious and the pub is in a beautiful location. my only critique would come from how close the pub was packed, the tables were so close together. this can be because the pub tries to put more customers since kovid. the staff was usually polite, although it seemed a bit rushed when we visited it, it was particularly busy.

For our first night stay in Lymington we were recommended this pub. It is situated right on the Quay side with views accross the water. Unfortunately when we went the outdoor section was shut. Both of us have food intolerances. Choices were limited but they have a good way of checking by way of an Ipad app referencing thier menu. Reasonably priced at around £25 a head including drinks.

"I visited here last week as a birthday present and wow, what an amazing place. It was run by a very small team but it worked perfectly. The decor was simple but equally very stylish, without looking flash or poncy, and the David White painting on the wall of the Great white shark that sparkled in the light was absolutely amazing (I really want one) We both had the tasting menu and I had the wine pairing too, for an extra £35, it was an absolute bargain and I would highly recommend. The food was superb, we had no idea what we would be getting as the menu changes seasonally but they double checked if there was anything we didn't like before starting the courses and then we were off. We've eaten in quite a few michellin star restaurants now and there's usually always one dish that one of us isn't keen on, not this time. Genuinely cannot fault the food one bit, some of the dishes/drinks played tricks with your senses too, I really enjoyed the sherbert fountain with liquorice ice cream. Had a good chat with David and the team and we both loved the ethos and style of the restaurant. There wasn't an ounce of snobbishness here, you could wear shorts and a T-Shirt and feel comfortable, equally, you could get dressed up and also not feel over dressed due to the superb way in which they've styled the place. Would I recommend this place to friends, 100%. Would I visit again, absolutely, we are planning to go back later in the year. I would also highly recommend buying the cook book, it's one of the best books we have at home and gives you some great starting blocks to create your own dishes. Keep up the great work team"
