"This has to be the worst Indian restaurant in all of Telford. I had three meals on Saturday, one of which was Chicken Jalfrezzi. The dish was served on a plate instead of in a traditional dish, with the rice on a smaller plate and no heating plate in the center of the table. I asked where the peppers were, and was told they were somewhere in the dish. The meal was bland and nothing like a Jalfrezzi. Additionally, a 3/4 can of coke cost £2.20. All three of us agreed that we will stick to Shimla in the future, where the service is much better and the food is good. This experience was just a one-time change on Saturday, and will be our last visit to this restaurant."

I have yet to try this restaurant but the smells emanating are wonderful. So not so much a review, as a precursor to a review. I will report back....soon !

The restaurant has a wide selection of dishes, the staff is attentive and the takeout service is always bustling. We have yet to be disappointed by any of our meals.

Have come here on and off for many years and has always been excellent food and service. Was quite surprised to note poor reviews below but never been my experience. View menu

I've been using Spice Island now for over 20 years, the food is always good and staff are great, we travel about 10 miles to eat there but it's always worth the visit.

Love to eat here whenever we fancy a curry. Take out also our first choice. You can take your own drinks/alcohol, really reduces the cost of eating out. Lovely staff. Will be returning. Recommend it to all our friends and family.

Met up with a group of friends for a catch up and curry. Great service food was quickly served and I think I can say for all of us very good clean plates at the end. Took our own drinks not licensed not a problem. Water served. Would recommend. View menu

Ordered at 7.45pm told 1hr 20 wait, thought it was a long wait but thought ok it’s a Saturday night. We are now just over two hours in and still no food. We ordered a family meal for us and the kids so now the kids are still waiting for their tea at 9.50pm. Not happy, we even called them again at 9.30pm to be told 5 mins. Don’t think we will be ordering again. Not the best impression made. Can’t comment on the food as we don’t have any

Upon arrival, I received a warm greeting and was presented with a extensive menu. The friendly smile remained as I requested tap water. The first course, a mixed warm salad, was both appealing and delicious. For my main course, I selected the lamb curry which, despite its unappetizing appearance, was flavorful and generous in portion. I also ordered garlic rice and tarka dhal as sides. Overall, it was a satisfying meal at an affordable price.

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
