"Will be very reluctant to use Open Door unless I actually know the reataurant I 'm booking into to. Although the restaurant tries to present 'shabby chic ' style, it is infact scruffy and is need of a desparate refurbishment. The bar is even worse. Lots of hen parties around. The staff were lovely and managed to do well as they seemed rushed off their feet. I 'd booked this thro ' Open Door for my friend and mine 's birthdays event, so wasnt expecting to be embarrassed by the venue. The food was at best good standard 'pub food ' although the desert was great. Although we had booked just after the cut off time for the special menu, the manager was very obliging and let us have it. The price was cheap so cant complain about that, but I wouldn 't have liked to pay much more"

Absolutely terrible. The food was so revolting that I couldn't even take a bite.

The food is ok, but the noise from the adjoining cocktail bar destroys any atmosphere. It also attracts loud hen parties.

My partner and I booked this last minute so weren't sure what to expect. We called ahead to warn the restaurant we would be a little late and they were very accommodating. The service was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. We were very surprised by the bill and will definitely be going back again.

We were asked to pay a £10 per person deposit for our meal, however on arrival there was only one other table with people at it and it stayed that way. Very loud music playing on the other side of the restaurant ruined the atmosphere somewhat. Starters and desserts very nice, as was my steak. Fiancee's vegetable pastry tart very dry could have done with some sauce with it. Service not very attentive had to wait a while to pay.

The service was friendly but discreet. I made a booking for 4 then changed it to 5 then changed it to 6 which was no trouble at all. The member of staff on the phone was extremely helpful. Three of members of the group came up from London and they really liked the food and the atmosphere. I had a tomato and red pepper soup followed seafood pasta but the sauce on the pasta tasted just like the soup however everyone else loved their food so I was happy with that.
