"One of those places were you would go only with locals and by recommendation. I would never get attracted by the place from looking on it from outside, frankly. It's very smallplace - I don't believe there is more than 10 tables. And it's rather basic. But the food was excellent, great quality of products (which is the most important when you gonna eat raw fish anyway :)). Prices for Lausanne are alright. Sushi a go-go are around 50CHF. So if really hungry. I took a tartar (18CHF) and California rolls (around 20 I guess). Ah, and a super green tea and black sesam ice-creams! Overall - great place for an average going-out, but not for a special event."

Hidden gem! The best sushi I’ve eaten in Switzerland and very affordable. Chef preparing your meal in front of you with quality fresh fish. Will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect , my kids enjoyed their foods , specially the yakinikou and unadon . Shrimp and vegetable tempura were very good. Japanese beer was also good. waiters extremely friendly and careful.

We went very early with our children and it was not busy at all. Service was very quick. We had tuna, salmon and cucumber rolls and futomaki and enjoyed everything. Room is very small but clean and pretty.

I came here on recommendation of an old friend. I have been on the lookout for a good sushi place in lausanne. Not so simple a quest as one might expect. This is good unpretentious Sushi at reasonable prices. View menu

It is the second time that we were in this restaurant in the heart of Lausanne which is nice but small. The Sushi is prepared right in front of your eyes, but also the other Japanese menus seem to be very good (have not tried anythig else so far but the sushi) The service is nice and friendly. If you want to go there it is avisable you reserve a table.

I have come to this restaurant a lot and I have to say that the quality and price are good value for money in Switzerland. It's hard to find an all you can eat restaurant but for 48 CHF on Tuesdays and Wednesdays this place delivers. The fish is very good quality and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and colleagues.

I've been to Taiyo three or four times and it's definitely getting worse and worse. I'm sure today was the last time. Food quality is average but service is very bad. Staff is really rude and unfriendly. When I complained about the food, the waitress told me that this is what it is. It has been always like this and I can't do anything for you...It was shocking View menu

Well located, I always find this small sushi place to have amazing quality. Watching the sushi and sashimi get made at the bar is mesmerizing and the care that goes into each serve is amazing. Have visited at night and whilst great, I would recommend trying this at lunch as well as they have especially good value meals at this time. This isn’t one of those places we’re things are pre made and sit in a fridge for you to choose everything is made fresh to order

I walking around town finding a place to grab a bite when I stumbled upon this hidden gem. It's hidden away on the side off the main road from the train station. The service was great, as I was explained to that they have recently started these fusion california makis as I was kindly suggested to try them. By God, I'm glad I did. That sauce on that roll was just amazing. I also noticed that they do a gogo on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Would definitely go back again and suggest you guys do the same. :D
