"Restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived so it was nice and relaxed. I ordered a King Prawn Majadar which was absolutely delicious and my friend ordered a Special Roshoni Chicken Hawaii. We both had peshwari naan. All was cooked to perfection. I asked for mine less hot with extra sauce which was what I received. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is amazing. Service: Dine in"

My wife and I visited Tale of India Trowbridge and had a great curry totally stuffed when we left. staff very attentive and ended the night with a complementary whisky and a Bailey's for my wife. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, We came for the weekend and stayed at the premier Inn and the tale of India is approx 100 yards from the hotel. View menu

This is my favorite Indian restaurant for takeout. The food is consistently top-notch and of high quality. However, I have noticed on two occasions that the amount of meat/chicken in each dish has been reduced, which is disappointing. The service is excellent and the overall rating for the food and service is a perfect 5 out of 5. The price per person for a dinner meal is typically between £20-30.

I called in for a takeout order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, the friendly staff had my order prepared. I took it home and the food was absolutely delicious! Their Indian cuisine is very good and I will certainly be ordering from them again. "We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."
