"We had booked a table for I arrived in time but my friends were going to be mins late. I was not allowed inside and had to wait outside until the rest of the party arrived. It was not full and I was...on time. I was cold after minutes. I asked again to come in, there were still plenty of tables. I told the managers I was cold and would order a hot drink to wait. He refused and he said I could cancel the booking if I liked. I hadn’t made the booking so I couldn’t. He was terribly rude and treated me poorly, no regard for my well being just wanting to maximise his opportunity for income. Once in (my friends minutes late) waitress was amazingly nice and friendly. The food was fine. I’ve never been treated so badly by any cafe bar or restaurant in my life."

A really nice cafe with lots of gluten free options available. It has a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for a sunny day.

Me and my hubby visitd this hidden gem for a breakfast, fancied trying an ulster fry. Service at the restaurant was great, very friendly and polite. Food-delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

Sitting outside in wonderful surroundings opposite Exeter Cathedral, I enjoyed a pot of beautifully scented loose-leaf jasmine green tea, while my sister had a cafe au lait. The young lady waiting our table was very helpful and friendly. Will be visiting again but next...time (having smelled and seen two delivered to the next table.. for breakfast!

This is a small restaurant that I had pasted every day during my stay in Exeter. On my final morning decided to take breakfast, full English. I was not disappointed from the squeezed orange juice to the coffee. The breakfast was cooked to order and...the ingredients were of the highest quality. In the summer there is seating outside and great just for a coffee.

Food ok, but how can you ruin Heinz beans? Croissant good, egg overcooked. The main problem was that we were overcharged. Ordered a la carte, charged for full meals+. Manager was very rude, to the point of harassment, no apology for the mix-up, and refused...to change our bill. Such a shame to have nasty people like that in charge, causing a scene in front of other customers.

Went here for breakfast. Recommended by one of the party of three who has stopped for coffee and cake in the afternoon. Can’t fault the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The issue was we were expecting something great for the price and got an...average breakfast, certainly not value for money. Warm not hot, the toast was supermarket bread and cold. Usually we have one large and one small English breakfast wherever we go, they only do one size, which turned out to be small but with a larger than average price. Is this usual for city food?

Hadn’t booked anywhere for lunch and all the chain restaurants were full and not friendly! Turned up at Eat on the Green and we’re seated immediately at a lovely outdoor table in the sunshine. Although they were not able to offer a few items on...the menu the waitress who took our order was so helpful and apologetic about the missing items that it didn’t matter. We all ordered burgers, even though some of our party don’t usually like burgers, and they were delicious. Highly recommend the chicken burger. Huge thank you to the waitress and manager who asked extra questions to make sure the cheese was safe for our pregnant party member. Will definitely return and give the chain restaurants a sw...

"Owner rude and arrogant! And you can’t trust them and they won’t make your order right by just saying too busy to make it right! I called in to make a booking but told no tables available but I could place an order for takeaway so I ordered two gluten free pizzas. I also asked what size are the gluten free pizza crust and was told 11”. I was told I would need to wait 1 hour 30 minutes and I agreed. I ordered the Gluten free 11 “ crust as advised for one Olive Tree and one Garlicky . When I arrived, I asked the person with the pizzas to confirm the gluten free pizzas. She looked a bit worried and said they were not gluten free. I asked the other girl if I would have to wait another 1.5 hrs and she said they would expedite my pizzas. The owner came over and said he had two vegan pizzas for 8:30 pm and I said that is not what I ordered. He said he was too busy to remake the pizzas. He said the girl that took the order said she didn’t remember gluten free was ordered. As a Celiac , those are the first words out of my mouth when I order any food and I also inquired the size of the gluten free crust and frequently they are pre-made and sealed and I was told they are 11”. He would not remake the pizzas as he said he has to trust his staff. So he implies the customer are lying and uses it as an excuse to not make it right. It doesn’t excuse not remaking the pizzas correctly as ordered gluten free as I was told a few minutes earlier. I assured him I ordered both pizzas gluten free and my wife came in and also confirmed as she heard me place the order on the phone. I realize this pizza must be well done and popular but not to remake the pizzas and imply me a liar and refusing to remake them is unprofessional. I find his behavior arrogant, rude and unprofessional and just because he went to Italy to learn how to make pizza doesn’t make him a good owner and manager. Hopefully, he won’t blow off this review but learn from it. Always make it right for your customers! And never insult your customers! It also suggest he doesn’t care about his customers because he is too busy. He walks away and just repeats he has to trust his employees. Poor excuse for not making the pizzas as ordered! Employees can make mistakes and as a Coeliac I will also double check as I did when I came to pick up the pizzas. I would advise Coeliacs to not try these pizzas as you can’t trust them to make them to your order. Peace be with you! Dietary restrictions You cannot trust this place to make your gluten free as ordered and they won’t remake it if they made it wrong and just say I have to trust my staff. Very Poor attitude from an owner and a bit arrogant! Customers don’t appear to be important and must be lying if they get an order wrong."
