Eating at this restaurant was a pleasant experience in a laid-back setting, but the lighting could be dimmed (more in line with the hotel ambiance). The service was a bit basic and the wine prices were high, but the meal itself was delicious.

Really nice location and great local British food cooked really well. High tea was great value for money and great quality. Dinner was great, good choice with all bases covered. Breakfast, good choice of continental, full English or just the usual cereals and breads.

The food at this restaurant was amazing! There were plenty of choices, including many gluten free options. The atmosphere was very pleasant and calming. I began with the asparagus, which was delicious. The chicken I ordered for my main dish was excellent as well, with flavors that blended perfectly and tender meat. For dessert, I had the cheeseboard, which came with gluten free crackers.

We made a reservation but were initially seated and then mostly ignored by the staff. Our food took 20 minutes to arrive, but our water and drinks were forgotten. Both of our burgers were burnt. The staff seemed untrained and lacked direction from the manager. While the restaurant may offer a good culinary experience, it did not meet our expectations. It's a shame given the beautiful location at the Wootton House Hotel. There is a lot of untapped potential here.

On the most part it was very good only complaint was due to hotel being full at last minute with a cancelled flight full of people there was no breakfast left no cups n saucers no plates left breakfast was terrible poorly managed as paying hotel guests they should of put aside breakfasts for the paying hotel guests which there were only eight couples then not to have and cups n saucers to drink from or dishes to be given paper cups not what you would expect for a peaceful two day break away in a lively luxurious hall very disappointing all we had was a piece of toast not impressed at all

My partner and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening for a romantic dinner and had a delightful experience. The service was top-notch, with our food and drinks being served promptly and with great attention to detail. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, especially the seating arrangement around the tree in the center. The food was of good quality and the menu offered a diverse selection. However, out of the four dishes we ordered, we found that they were a bit underseasoned, which was slightly disappointing considering the exceptional service we received. Overall, it was still a pleasant visit.
