"Lovely cafe Nice to have toys and books to keep children entertained. Good layout in village location Food very disappointing. Despite being “home cooked” Got there after 11.30am so didn’t realise you could still order breakfast as the menu said breakfast served until 11.30am So ordered a child’s sandwich, crisps and veg Adults goat cheese panini and chips. My son is good eater, but he hardly touched his lunch, said he didn’t like it. Some of my chips were hard. Clearly they were frozen chips. Not home cooked. My panini was tasteless. I am disappointed, to say the least. The girl at the till asked me if the food was ok, and I said fine, as I don’t like to cause a scene. But for over £16 it was just not worth the money. It was a long 40 min drive for a disappointing lunch. Sorry but I won’t be going back."

"Excellent quality of food and drink in very comfortable surroundings with a joyful and friendly service to match. It is quite refreshing to experience a setting where there is much laughter and camaraderie between the staff members (and with myself too), and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to meet our requirements. The 3 course meal and drinks cost £74.50 which we thought was excellent value since cocktails and liquor coffee were purchased as well. Well recommended. Kid-friendliness: Children's menu available plus highchairs available. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access location, disabled toilets on the ground floor and very helpful staff are in attendance."

"We visited for the Sunday Roast Carvery, and wow, it's not just a traditional carvery! In addition to the roast, you can choose from a selection of delicious options like a variety of vegetables, pasta, mini burgers, a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and churros, and so much more—all included in the carvery price. As someone who enjoys visually appealing meals, I was in heaven! The staff are incredibly friendly, and each one greeted us with a smile, making us feel comfortable. We also ordered the Carolina BBQ burger and a salmon salad; they were huge, and I couldn't finish either!"

"I discovered this restaurant through a campervan app that highlights areas with free parking, as I needed to be in Blackpool early the following day. Although campervans aren't permitted in the pub's parking lot, there is ample space available on the nearby hard standings. It's a charming, traditional local pub with a warm atmosphere complete with a real fire and excellent food. I ordered the homemade chicken Kiev, which takes about 30 minutes to prepare since it's made to order, and it was absolutely delightful. I will definitely return. I highly recommend this hidden gem—it's truly worth seeking out! Wookiee."

"Over priced, small portions. Never had a curry like it! The puddings a big disappointment. One of our party had the chocolate brownie , which she said was very hard..I had banoffee Eton mess. Which was not an Eton mess at all. Which consisted of slices of banana, far too much cream, squares of chocolate cake??? and bits of meringue. They had run out of quite a few things on the menu, so bit disappointed. The staff were friendly, we did register our complaint upon paying. Won 't rush back I 'm afraid."
