"we went here on Saturday evening (party of 4,) as we regularly visit the sister restaurant are the winking prawn, which is beautiful. our waitress was very nice, but eating was literally terrible. we ordered halloumi while we read the menu that it was not possible. raw halloumi swim in extremely strong garlic oil. they took the bill when we didn't touch it. starter: mush were full of grit and minuscule. they were clearly not fresh. prawns were cooked and tasteless. bands were nice crochets were good. netz: 2 krabbensalate (one with a pfeffer allergy that we have told the waitress were not listed on the menu, but we have mentioned it anyway) the person with the pfeffer allergy was served an salat with pfeffer. jrk huh: was good. just a piece of **** with something tear, can't do much wrong. scallops prawns absolutely eat the worst I ever had in devon and almost 20 pfund. the garnels were so over cooked that I could not peel them. also the skalopps were overcooked. the meal was just terrible. we mentioned all this to the manager when we went to pay (about £100 for pleasure to eat this) and his attitude was quite literally “good what they want me to do about it?” I never complain. I never write reviews. but that was the hands down, the worst meal I've ever eaten in a restaurant, and it's a big shame as it could be beautiful."

"We visited as a table of 6 this past Sunday and all agreed it had to be the best sunday lunch we have all ever had! Everything tasted amazing and there was nothing to fault. The service from the two girls was faultless and also the guy who I imagine was the owner, was so friendly and welcoming. They where very accommodating, especially considering we had a couple of awkward requests. My husband and I are considering a return trip just to enjoy the food again! The pub itself is very quant, with live music as you dine, the perfect place to spend a sunday afternoon."

"Very disappointing! Went out for a meal with the family and all five of us left really underwhelmed. Ordered the one plant based option that was available that night, many of the chips were undercooked and hard and the fish alternative was mostly just batter! Was like eating mouthfuls of crispy grease. For around £25 pounds a head felt like a waste of money. Did complain but was still charged full price for a sub standard meal not one of us enjoyed. The only positive was the waitress, Maddy (young, blue hair). Who was lovely and an exceptionally good server. Overall extremely disappointing experience. Awful value for money, will not be returning."

"dinner for 6 on the long established salcombe coffee co,. the in summer some nights in the week opens. chilled vibe and attentive service, especially by andy the owners. nothing too much, and he supports his team very well. large fish menu that dances! Gumbo...is everything it should be, the Hake-Special with brown garnels nicely cooked and impractical with salty garnels. the starters of albondigas with real slingering heat from chilis turned out to be exceptional with lukenically lined local sourdough. the chef, jane, can cook seriously and has a tiny kitchen kitchen with talented youthful. Unfortunately the rosé was drunk, but really good picpoul de penet, and a bottle of sancerre were excellent. it is small, humbly and really fab. 10/10. No wonder it's still there after 20 years."

"We visited the Old Bakery for the first time having been recommended to do so by our host, we really enjoyed the whole experience, from the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming as this was our first visit the waiter carefully explained the...ordering process along with the various choices available, which was really helpful All the six choices we had made were served together which enabled us to mix and match the various dishes all of which was more than enough for the two of us, after starting with a selection of Old Bakery Breads, nothing was to much trouble for the welcoming staff. We will most certainly look forward to visiting again when we next visit Kingsbridge"
