"We had a wonderful lunch here after our walk. There were 16 of us, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating or efficient. Our dogs, who were a bit muddy from our hike, were also warmly welcomed and received special treatment with water and treats. It seemed like the bar was manned by just one person, but he worked tirelessly to ensure we were well taken care of, taking our orders and serving drinks swiftly and with a smile. Most of us ordered sandwiches, accompanied by chips. The bread was incredibly fresh, and the sandwiches were generously filled. The chips were served piping hot as well! Everything was delicious! Thank you for making a group of muddy walkers feel so welcomed and for providing such a fantastic lunch experience."

excellent staff, friendly, efficient profi. beautiful menu comfortable interieur. very good food. good drink selection. as it is a bit more on the market, I might have expected the cup of tea I ordered to come in a pot with milk on the side, instead of already served in cup with milk.

Nice pub with a traditional feel. The beer was excellent and the food, though quite plain (suits me perfectly) was also good. The service was exceptional. Nice car park which is behind the pub, entrance is signed off the main road. Recommended. Parking: Parking is at the back of the pub, look out for the sign. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5

We reserved a table for Sunday lunch and both chose the roast pork, along with an extra side of cauliflower cheese. The food was wonderful—served hot, and the crackling was cooked to perfection. The pub had a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. We've already scheduled our next visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

what a delicious bonus for a day to foot. we stayed here on the way from the cherhill horse and enjoyed the cake of the day, steak and ale served with a selection of kartoffels. handmade and made from scratches they were really very delicious and all washed with a few pints of ale. the perfect end of a wonderful walk, except we had a few more miles left to the campsite, to full bell.

After a walk to the White Horse carved into the stunning Wiltshire hills, what better refreshment than a perfectly served Doom Bar ale and a top-quality Sunday roast? We especially enjoyed the hot (spicy, not temperature) horseradish sauce that accompanied the roast beef. Others in our group loved the house-made curry and the massive burgers. For dessert, we savored homemade English classics like bread and butter pudding and Eton mess. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful, and our four-legged friends were warmly welcomed, likely never to forget the delightful tasty treats they received. A big thank you to the entire team for making our long-awaited family reunion so enjoyable!
