"Our one-night stay was very good. We traveled from South Yorkshire to visit friends in Spennymoor and decided to stay overnight. The rooms were very nice, albeit a bit small, but perfect for a short stay. They seemed to be newly renovated as the bathroom fittings, large TV, and decor were all up to date. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. The bar was also great, with a large TV and two more showing sports. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, but all the locals were friendly and there was a good, safe atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area."
