This is my third visit here and to be short and sweet this is the best pub in Nottingham. Everything about it is fantastic and it’s my go to place for special occasions. We sat by the river and had a fantastic meal AGAIN!! We will definitely be back again

We had an incredible meal on Christmas Eve. I will be dreaming about it for weeks to come! The staff was wonderful—so friendly and accommodating; nothing was too much trouble. An excellent experience for my birthday. Every aspect of the experience was spot on. An extensive menu, beautiful setting and seamless service made the day. Our party of ten was catered well with a all the starters and mains being served without delay. The children’s menu is very good too. We will be back very soon.

I love this place literally. I am zöliakie and I am more than attentive; it is so refreshing to think a village pub outside the box and bring her menu into the 21st century. great atmosphere, great staff and good food. I can't talk very much about this place. Just remember to book ahead, although they are really busy.

I was absolutely amazed by the atmosphere and service during our special anniversary dinner last night. All three courses were of excellent quality, and the beverage menu was outstanding as well. It's in a lovely position by the river but it ends there for me first given the wrong drink so tha was replaced then a long wait when we ordered food baby meal sent out last food was not a very good standard lasagna was a very small portion ,fish looked and tasted very dry so very dissatisfied as it was my birthday celebration with my family Vegetarian options: Not very much choice and bland food Price per person: £10–20

We visited this hidden gem for our first anniversary after discovering it on TripAdvisor, and we can only say wow! The place is absolutely breathtaking. I ordered the chicken chardonnay, which was exquisite, while my friend indulged in the rump steak that simply melted in the mouth. For dessert, we treated ourselves to an Eton mess and a chocolate sky, both of which were delightful. We will definitely be returning and will recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks. The restaurant has recently come under new management, and we were eager to support it. Four of us dined there, and since it was early (around 6:30 pm), it wasn't very busy, though there were two other groups present. The menu has changed quite a bit from the previous owners. While our meal was satisfactory, there’s definitely room for improvement; for example, the fish was a bit on the dry side. However, I understand it's still early days for them. I truly hope the new owner finds success, as we really enjoy this place for both lunch and dinner. We will definitely return to see how things develop! View menu
