"The title is fairly self-explanatory but when me and my two friends visited this Pub for some Pre-Gig Food we ended up waiting for nearly two hours with no signs of food coming, we went up to the bar to ask when the food might...be on its way to us (as we'd seen others do the same) and before we had a chance to say anything the barman said I'll be secs so we waited there a while expecting him to speak with us, he didn't do so and after minutes of waiting for those secs to pass.. the food still hadn't arrived to the table, I tried to get the Barman's attention and he wouldn't even acknowledge us, I even tried waving my hands at him to try and get his attention but he blatantly ignored us, he kept looking directly at us so it wasn't like he was oblivious to the fact he rudely left us waiting We ended up having to leave because the first band was about to come on, we ended up not getting any food despite waiting over two hours for it to arrive, the whole experience was a waste of time and money Long story short: The atmosphere was terrible, it wasn't even as busy as it could've been for a Friday afternoon so I dread to think how this place would be like when it's at its busiest, the staff were rude and the customers are clearly on the bottom of their priority list, avoid at all costs."

Worst breakfast I have ever had the miss fortune of receiving egg was over cooked beans cold the only edible bit was the bacon A lot of staff on duty on Sunday morning didn’t ask how food was probably because they already knew all they...were interested in was an induction that was late

The chicken at this restaurant is tasty and well-cooked, with a generous serving of roasted vegetables. The staff are friendly and attentive, making for a great dining experience. The portion size is impressive, and even my daughters, who have worked at Wetherspoons, agree that it is substantial. The presentation is excellent and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend this place for a delicious meal. View menu

One of the top pubs in Northampton, perfect for a night out with friends and family. I frequent this place often and my go-to dishes are the chicken curry with rice and bread, buttermilk chicken burger, and spicy chicken wings. For dessert, I always finish off with a delicious brownie and ice cream. I highly recommend this pub to anyone looking to have a good time with loved ones. Make sure to visit at least once!

I visit the weatherspoons in Northampton regularly. It has a great selection of beer at fantastic prices, however I have had a lot of meals there and I have to say apart from the curries the food in general is not served hot. I have...complained several times and I have seen many customers complaining about luke warm food. Why is it so difficult to serve hot food, it doesn't look good when the waiter's are returning so many meals back to the kitchen. I will continue to drink there but sadly won't eat there anymore. Visited for lunch with my son the service was super quick, drinks arrived within a minute and food only shortly afterwards was easily able to get a table on a Sunday afternoon. Toilets were also pretty clean for a Wetherspoons which made a nice change. This pub is tucked away around the back streets and perhaps is not so well known as some of this chain's establishments are. Seemed to be less drunks in than most Wetherspoons which was a bonus, perhaps they had already gone home as had started drinking at when it opened?!Seriously though, seemed ok and better than some of these. So, I frequently go to this spoons and this time the dreadful quality was too far! My vegetarian friend received the wrong burger patty! We were not happy! When the server brought the right burger they did not supply the chips that were on...the plate to begin with. My other friend ordered a chicken burger, upon taking a bite it was freezing cold! Literally fridge temperature. Disgusting ! I could’ve put it in my drink as an ice cube! When the chicken burger was brought back hot, there were no chips or onion rings even though they weren’t touched before taking the burger back! Drinks were meh, coffee is alright nothing special. Mayo is hard to open. do NOT recommend to a friend … but the sou...

asked for a well done steak, got my food after everyone had finished theirs. got given cold chips and a steak still mooing, showed the waitress that my steak was oozing blood, she apologised and told me she’d get me a new one. got my...second steak after what felt like an hour, absolutely charred on the outside to the point it felt like i was consuming a dead mans ashes, surprise surprise when i cut open the steak- it’s only slightly bleeding less than before. still raw. i tell the waitress that it’s still raw but i didn’t want to wait another hour for food i had ordered an hour ago, she apologised and brought me a receipt for a refund. refund went through after a week, drinks came out the s...

"I had the pleasure of visiting La Terraza Tapas Bar in Upton with my kids, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was incredibly cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a family outing. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the tapas selection. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more, and the Tempura prawns were simply delectable. It's clear that the chefs here take pride in their creations, as every dish we tried was a delightful journey for the taste buds. As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience, and I can confidently say it won't be our last visit. While the prices leaned slightly towards the expensive side, the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance more than made up for it. La Terraza Tapas Bar strikes the perfect balance between a gourmet dining experience and a comfortable family outing. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is always an important factor for me when choosing a place to dine. All in all, La Terraza Tapas Bar offers a fantastic option for a memorable lunch with family or friends. If you're looking for a place that combines delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and a touch of elegance, this is definitely a spot worth considering. AKASAKA Japanese

AKASAKA Japanese

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
