Excellent pub, friendly staff, very welcoming and make you feel really welcome. Food is great and excellent choice of real ales

Excellent freshly cooked food. We were a party of six and we all had different dishes, every single one was great. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly service.

We came off the M5 to find somewhere better than a service station for lunch and stopped here. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and well priced. Our dog was made very welcome with treats and a bowl of water. All in all an excellent pub. View menu

looked on line for a dog friendly pub with the grandkids aged 6 and 9. Could not have been a nicer experience starting from a reserved named table in the side bar area (due to having the dog), great helpfull staff, water and treats for the dog turned up and really nice food for all ages. Easy parking across the side road. All in all a real delight at a fair price. I would recommend.

The staff at this restaurant were extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcome. The establishment was clean and tidy, with a cozy real fire that added to the welcoming atmosphere. We all ordered pies, which were all delicious. The mashed potatoes were lovely and complemented the pies well. The vegetables, however, were slightly undercooked. It's worth noting that the large pie is indeed very large.

I recently met a friend at The Crossways Inn for dinner, as it was conveniently located near where I was staying. Although it had been a few years since my last visit, I remembered enjoying a Sunday roast at this pub. This time, I visited on a weekday evening and was delighted to find faggots on the menu, a rare treat in my area. While the faggots weren't exactly to my taste, I still appreciated the opportunity to try something new. This pub is absolutely brilliant. We have just returned from a family holiday to Cornwall. I googled dog friendly places to stay on our way down and back to break our journey. I found a real gem here. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. We had bed and breakfast for a night on the 22 and 29 September. The food is gorgeous. We had a dog friendly room which was so nice. Lovely comfortable bed, and even some dog treats left in our room. I can’t recommend the Crossways Inn enough. It’s perfect. If we drive to Cornwall again we will definitely be calling in again. Thanks to owner Abi for making our stay so enjoyable

Despite having an excellent selection of real ales and a nice setting, our experience at this restaurant was not great. We were unable to question our food order without being rudely shut down by one of the bar staff, who seemed to be in charge. The atmosphere was also spoiled by loud swearing from the locals at the bar, which was tolerated by the staff. Additionally, a particularly rude bar staff member tried to enforce strict "dog rules" on us before we even had a chance to sit down, while turning a blind eye to the locals' unruly dogs. Unfortunately, this same staff member has been present every time we have visited, causing us to reconsider returning in the future.

Have been going to this pub for years. It has a good choice of real ales. But have noticed in the last year that the menu is getting boring. It hardly changes, even the specials board is not that special. I do not like their lasagne it has too many herbs in it. The meat in the steak pie can be chewy. The crossways burger, is a good burger but on my lastest visit it was spoiled with over cooked crispy, very salty bacon on the top. The coldslaw used to be excellent but is now much coarser. They keep changing what they put on the burger and that spoils it.
