"The hotel is good. Clean rooms and easy access, Good parking. Staff in total at the hotel and the dinning room are very helpful and nice. However I have to write about the food. Which was not good. Examples. Starter of Humus with malt bread was a couple of tea spoon fulls of supermarket Humus with three quarters of a Ryvita broken into three pieces. £7 approx. Macaroni and crayfish tails was a sticky glue like mess. Where was the lobster bisque?. Meat pies, not home made and two out of three were burnt and all were overcooked or reheated. Very little of the food was home made and for the prices charged was shocking. Puts us off staying again as we eat there for four nights"

Always have amazing food at The Crown. Highly recommend. Great service and special offer in January and February gave us the perfect excuse to enjoy a visit. Lovely atmosphere too

Lovely welcoming staff. Had dinner which was very tasty. Staff friendly and kind to our dogs (Billy and Cocoa) and treated them to a sausage. Returned the next morning for yummy cooked breakfast.

Very nice meal spoiled by the hummus and rye bread starter which consisted of a couple of Ryvitas and a small amount of hummus for £7!! We complained but these starters were still included in the bill.

We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant. The atmosphere was lively, the staff was fantastic, and the food was delicious. The service was exceptional, as always. Special thanks to Debbie, Louise, and Ross.

Have been here on multiple occasions with friends and family and cannot fault the food, staff, and setting. You can pay similar prices at other places in and around Berkshire and be seriously disappointed. The food quality, portions and taste are exceptional and cannot complain in the 3 years I have been going here. Would highly recommend to all!

Stayed here for 3 nights B+B. Room was cold and needs updating- broken ceiling lights, stained blinds, peeling paint on headboard. No maid service it seems so towels not changed, tea and coffee not replenished, bed not made. Breakfast disappointing.2 packs of cornflakes and warm yogurt is not a buffet. £125 per night is daylight robbery. I’ll stay at the premier inn next time

My family and I had Sunday lunch at The Crown and we all really enjoyed it. The group ranged in age from 9 to 79. Five of us had the Sunday roast, while the children opted for pizzas. I also had a pizza, and all of our plates were cleared except for one person who couldn't finish all their meat and took it home in a box for later. It had been quite a while since our last visit to The Crown, but we will definitely be returning soon.

I dined at your restaurant with a large group and unfortunately, my pizza was cold, barely had any toppings, and was so hard that it was difficult to cut even with a sharp knife. The restaurant was busy and there were no staff available to address my concerns at the time. I did not mention anything upon leaving as I was already running late due to slow service. I reached out via email to express my dissatisfaction, but have not received a response. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to your establishment and will not be recommending it to others in the future.

"We usually love coming to Cafe Rouge in Henley, always a treat for us and we are always looking forward to it. However the most recent visit was awful and it’s been going downhill over our last coupes of visits. We booked a table for my father in laws birthday. Upon being seated, we were informed that 3 of the main course dishes were unavailable.. pretty much half of the ‘mains’ options. We don’t come to Cafe Rouge for Burgers or salad! We opted for 3 portions of Mussels as had them here before and they’re very good! Mother in law just had pate as there was nothing else she wanted. These were possibly the worst mussels we’ve ever had. You could tell they weren’t fresh (cooked from frozen for sure) and there was barely any sauce in the pot! Usually they are flavourful and abundant in sauce! No check back was performed by the manager on duty..it was a quiet Monday so wasn’t exactly run off his feet. So we couldn’t alert him. Even upon clearing we weren’t ask how our meal was! Just asked if we had finished. We decided to mention they were awful to which the manager told us he would inform the kitchen. When he came back to finish clearing, my partner asked if they were frozen or fresh mussels, to which the manager replied yes, they are frozen. Wasn’t expecting that but you could totally tell! They tasted like cardboard! We had a coffee and a pudding and to be fair to the manager he didn’t charge us for one portion of mussels and the coffees we ordered. The Bill was certainly not worth what we had. Didn’t leave a tip, which we never normally do, but the service was non existent. Manager was more interested in what was on his phone. Won’t be rushing back"
