"Passed this little tavern on may occasions on way home to Glasgow and it looked so quaint and always wanted to go in. Had my chance after walking the coastal path from Pittenweem to Anstruther and came across it going into Anstruther. Was not disappointed as it is so quaint inside and has a great outdoor segmented area (left over from covid) looking down to the river. Menu looked very good and would see how our day panned out whether we could manage to come back to have dinner? Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back to eat here."

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and excellent food. I walked 25 minutes from Pittenweem and it was worth it!

Lovely staff serving top quality local produce in a great atmosphere. The Langoustines and dressed crab were fantastic

Great service from friendly staff. A dog friendly pub too! Our food was very good and I can recommend the goats cheese and beetroot salad and the slow cooked beef cheek. Booking is advisable. View menu

2 signs of a good restaurant busy (booking is essential) and a small menu. Food was excellent and service friendly and attentive. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended, but be sure to book ahead.

Awesome meal at the dreel. Nice selection of starters but unusually went for the Wagyu burger. Twas excellent and the chips were really amazing. Proper skinny French fries cooked to perfection. With a nice reasonably processed bottle of PicPoul

Visited during the pittenweem arts festival, so quite busy. This may have caused the slow service we experienced. Food was good, though prawns a bit over salty. A little pricey for what you got. We sat outside in a little cabin, which was not as sheltered as I expected View menu

Can’t really complain about the food as it was very good. However, after ordering the cheese and biscuits for £13 and only receiving 3 small crackers for a large amount of cheese, I asked for extra crackers. I was told they could only offer them in 3’s and I had to pay extra. I kindly declined this offer. Our bill for 2 was nearly £150 and I felt disappointed by their lack of customer service/awareness over such a small outlay for them.

Our first time in The Dreel Tavern. I found it on Google Maps as I searched for ‘pubs near me’. An old worldly pup with a central stone fireplace which I’d imagine would make for a cosy retreat in winter. Lovely welcoming staff. Tasty, varied food great French fries) A choice of areas to sit..bar area, snug, conservatory, beer garden and also another room off the bar. We chose it because it was DOG FRIENDLY. Our poodle was served water and biscuits too Will remember here if we are ever passing through again .
