"I can actually say this was the poorest Sunday lunch I have ever had being quite a connoisseur. 2 thin slices of beef placed on top of 2 roast potatoes (were not crisp and tasteless). Veg consisted of 1 boiled potato in skin cut in half, 3 pieces of carrot, 1 chunk of cauliflower and a little bit of purple cabbage. No greens are you serious!!!!!! The lunch was completely tasteless. I was charged the same price per menu to eat in. £9.95 one"

Fantastic meal, service was excellent. Felt very welcomed and no pressure to rush the meal. All local produce and nothing too much trouble. Felt very spoilt. Highly recommend.

Went there today 4th September for lunch and I have to say the food was fantastic. Fresh homemade chicken burger was out of this world. Staff are friendly and made the experience even better. Free coffee was a bonus. Thank you

Large group of us. Only couple had starters .. the welsh egg is lush. Mains steaks were great but pepper sauce needs fixing too thick too hot! Lush chips...Lamb shank mash ok but again the jus needs fixing. Italian platter was tasty.. maybe few sun dried tomatoes would be nice with it rocket. Will def visit again. Chef very interested in feedback .. not like some places I could mention ! Thank you

"I have been wanting to visit here for ages but the stars have never aligned until Saturday. We were extremely lucky to get a walk in for the two of us. We were greeted by the owner and shown to a table. As we didn't have any drinks with us Peter suggested Tesco a few doors down and I was able to grab a bottle to enjoy with the meal. The service was wonderful and friendly and it felt like we had been going there for years, with just the right amount of care and advice. The food was exceptional from start to finish. We had the chicken satay and spring rolls to start and they were beautiful. The satay was amazing and was much darker in colour than any I have had before, but much better in flavour than any I have had before, I would definitely have these again. For main I had a chicken rendang and my wife ordered gule monkfish. The rendang was again perfect for my tastes. Spicy but flavourful with a generous portion that would satisfy the majority of eaters. I would have had seconds, even though I was stuffed because it was so good. I can't comment too much on the monkfish as I have a dislike of seafood, but my wife raved about it and said she's having the same again next time without question. So I think that sums it up. We finished with deserts of a rice pudding dish I think was called bubar, which was black rice and coconut, and the second dish we ordered was a Banana coconut pancake to which I forget the name. Again I couldn't find fault if I tried another 10 out of 10. At the end of the meal we met owner and chef Ami, who came to chat. It was lovely speaking to the owners and their passion for the food and customer service was clear. We cannot wait until our next visit"
