"Been here several times over the past few years and for some reason the quality of food/service and overall experience has declined with each visit. My girlfriend and I visited again in May of this year and were extremely disappointed. Food options used to be really exciting (I loved the maccaritos they used to do) but have been vastly reduced to the same things you can get at literally any vegan or vegan-friendly place, except not as tasty and double the price, with a side of bad customer service to boot. In the past I haven’t had any issues with the staff or service but this time there was a really weird vibe. We were served by a man with a sort of annoyed-manager aura who was really rude and short with us. I tried to order a hot dog and was told “I don’t have any hot dogs today”, no apology or anything. Had to pick something else really quick with this guy acting like I’d spat in his face. Sorry for coming, I guess? He was also quite rude when we ordered drinks at the bar and was overall very unpleasant to deal with. Food came and was a massive disappointment. Big portions but really average in terms of quality. The fries were like a worse version of McDonald’s fries: soggy, stale and tasteless. We picked at our plates and decided it wasn’t worth hanging around any longer. Normally we’d stay for a drink but the atmosphere felt pretty hostile and we couldn’t relax, plus the prices are pretty extortionate for what you’re getting. Beware if you go on the weekends; there is normally some kind of event on as this is a music venue as well as a bar/restaurant. It’s very, very loud and not great if you want to go somewhere where you can actually enjoy a conversation. Others might not mind this as much, but it wasn’t the kind of experience we were after. We’re quite familiar with other aspects of the establishment (pretty dingy as its underground, toilets are never clean) and kind of didn’t mind in the past since the service and food were good, but have to admit these aspects are much less endearing when the menu and servers are **** too. Honestly, don’t waste your time. This place peaked in 2016/2017 and it’s not worth the money anymore, which is a real shame. There are plenty of other vegan places in Glasgow with amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere who are actually still passionate about what they do. Do yourself a favour and give The Flying Duck a miss."

A great selection of vegan food and friendly staff although I have to say the the big Mac burger was quite disappointingly flavourless

The restaurant has excellent service and is located in a cozy, dimly lit bar. The menu is 100% vegan and the food was delicious, although a bit too spicy for my taste. The music was too loud, which made it difficult to have a conversation.

Took a colleague for dinner here, he loved it great selection of beers and ciders behind the bar and the food is fantastic. Portion sizes are generous so it's not the place to be if you're on a diet, but a burger will easily fill you up for a very reasonable price.

I suppose if I worked in a windowless dungeon serving vastly overpriced food to unsatisfied customers then I'd not be terribly happy in my work. Even given that though, the bar manager has a weirdly anti customer vibe. I've been in a couple of times, once for food (burger and fries not nice) and once with friends for drinks, and he's openly hostile. Odd.

I have visited this restaurant several times, once for a concert and a few times for food and drinks. The bar has a fantastic atmosphere, and the venue space is ideal for a small concert. The staff are friendly and willing to help with any questions. I was particularly impressed with the Festive Burrito they offered. Overall, the food is delicious and satisfying.

I recently had the most amazing vegan mac and cheese sandwich with chorizo at this restaurant. It was stuffed with generous servings, to the point where I couldn't even finish it! My friends also enjoyed their meals, and the service was quick and friendly. The only downside was the noise from a band rehearsing in the next room, which was unexpected for 5:15 in the evening. It made it hard to have a conversation, but I have to admit, they sounded pretty good!

Visited with friends from England at the start of the month, never been before but heard good things and wanted to show them vegan food can be delicious but was left disappointed. I ordered the BBQ shrimp burger which came very, very burnt. The waitress noticed my displeasure and got a replacement but it was also very burnt and bitter so I just didn’t eat it. Waste of £13. The food and drinks were pretty expensive and the place was very cold. Pool table was a great addition. We were also charged for an extra burger and only noticed from reading the receipt and were refunded but that could’ve easily gone unnoticed. Wouldn’t go back.

As far as venue goes, the stairs down to the actual bar/restaurant area are not a great first impression... Dark, dirty and off putting... However, the actual restaurant and bar area was very spacious, open plan and the staff where extremely friendly and welcoming... First try of a seitan patty and although I wasn't 100% convinced on the flavour, it was an okay alternative to meat. The actual texture was more off putting than anything. Gender neutral toilets is a great step forward in this day and age, however , overall cleanliness wasn't as convincing... But given the actual overall structure of the venue, this can't be helped. Considering we went early afternoon, I can imagine the place is...
