this place is amazing! we have visited a few times recently, after a walk on the beach with our dog. they have an excellent dogs friendly area, eating was really great at our visit and the whole team are super friendly! we go back this week and I can't wait

Great coffee! Chatting to one of the staff and they have recently had a new coffee machine installed. Have to say the coffee is delicious! Really has improved since my last visit. I use the pub regularly for work as it has some great quiet areas and the team are always fantastic and very attentive View menu

I visited this restaurant for a Sunday roast and even though they only had chicken available, the food was satisfying and comforting. My dog, Fluffy, also seemed to enjoy it a lot! My friend John was giving me a tour of the place, Freshie, and there were many rooms to accommodate everyone's preferences.

the first time in this pub on Monday and it was fantastic! really busy, people everywhere but I have to tell the personal where amazing! our food came in a good time, considering how busy the pub was and the chicken ranch burger was delicious. great atmosphere and wanted only a great thank you to the team for our bank holiday Monday great! we will come back soon.

We hosted a big family (almost 50 of us) event for our Mum's Celebrate of Life this past weekend. Kate was fantastic with all the arrangements. The venue was perfect as we had the back section and courtyard to ourselves so loads of room especially for the kids. The buffet and staff were great. While visiting our friends in Formby, we decided to try out Fresh Fields restaurant. The good news is that they have a great selection of beers and the service was friendly. However, three of us ordered the Freshfield Burger, which is apparently a house specialty. The topping of crispy pork was excellent, as well as the moist bun and tasty chips. Unfortunately, all of our burgers were dry and overcooked to the point where it seemed like King Alfred himself had taken over the kitchen. On a positive note, the desserts were decent.

This place always seems a bit empty and with an ambience that makes you feel you want to leave and go somewhere with a bit more of an atmosphere were other guests are enjoying themselves. I just cannot figure out what is wrong. Saying the above may seem very harsh as my family thoroughly enjoyed our food which was excellent and the staff were perfection constantly checking everything was OK with our meals and each of them was always smiling and seemed genuine. So sorry about the negative thoughts but the quality of the food and the service outweighs any off puts of the pub. I will definately be back

I made a reservation at this restaurant for Sunday lunch at 4pm, as I had been there before and had a pleasant experience. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the restaurant was busy and running late. They also mentioned that they had run out of roast beef, so we had to settle for roast chicken instead. After waiting for an hour, we were finally served. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing - the vegetables were undercooked and cold, and there was not much meat on the chicken bones. What was there was dry. Sadly, we do not plan on returning anytime soon. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly. View menu
