"the food was good, but had to ask for the a la carte menu because there was not much choice on the lunch menu. we were the only people in the restaurant so quiet. the problem came when we tried to pay the bill. three try to pay. a machine didn't work. second machine used with hahn and pay, but uncertain whether it went through. I had to insert my card at the third attempt. the waitress said we should check our account. later, when I was at home and found that I had been billed twice. the next morning the hotel informed by phone and was promised that I would be back on the phone. hours later, I was contacted and said I was only charged once. it still appears as pending on my explanation, and I suspect it will be a few days before the refund."

The roast was very tasty, particularly the sirloin beef. Sadly the service was a bit slow as they were so understaffed so we had to ask for drinks again. Recommend though!

excellent eating, the pork bell and chocolate fond were an absolute winner. the personal was also unbelievable when they are in the opposite, then they have to try the gallery.

Gorgeous Afternoon Tea, all the food was excellent and the staff were lovely. The setting is picturesque and we sat outside in the sun and had a very pleasant afternoon. Recommended.

Wow what a wonderful place with fantastic service. The Sunday roast was out of this world. Our waitress went above and beyond and was so friendly, even took the children outside to show them round the garden. Will definitely be coming back. View menu

We visited for afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, the cakes were delicious (and plentiful), and we felt safe with the Covid-19 safety measures in place. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I had a very unusual dining experience during the pandemic at this restaurant. The food was mediocre with some dishes being inconsistent. The shortbread had a strange taste that I didn't enjoy. I was taken aback when I saw a dog (not a service animal) being allowed into the tea room by the hotel. While this might please some customers, it personally turned me off.
