"The dining experience was pleasant, and the atmosphere was lovely. I would have rated it higher, but we were seated by the window on a very sunny day, and unfortunately, the shades couldn't be lowered. After a while, we decided to open a window, which made it more tolerable. I understand that it's challenging to predict the weather this time of year, and they want to let in natural light, but I felt the staff wasn't very responsive when we mentioned our discomfort. Perhaps we hadn't ordered enough wine to get their attention? I’m willing to give it another try, but I’ll aim for an outdoor table or an evening reservation next time. The menu is intriguing, and the food was well prepared and presented; however, the chips were a bit unusual, possibly reheated. Overall, they have a solid selection of bratwurst and good steaks."

WE love the Green Man and visit often. The service is always very friendly and polite. Food excellent, with the choice at lunchtime of a la carte, lunch menu, and tapas. Great choice of wines, just perfect.

We've been here 6 or 7 times and find it recently not quite as good as 18 months ago. It seems there is now often a private party going on at weekends, which has led to the service for other diners being reduced and the increased noise level making it quite hard to be heard. The food is very good but the menu would benefit from a few new additions or specials being offered. Miss the lobster!
