"This Hotel does not do a buffet breakfast fine but the availability of basic items every morning was really not acceptable. (We stayed 3 days). For example : no fruit no hash browns no yogurt no brown bread and one morning when they were clearly very busy only 12 eggs between everyone. The white bread tasted stale on the Monday morning I had to have mine toasted. Total mismanagement of the person responsible for the ordering of kitchen stock . The breakfast menu only provided two cereals Granola or porridge. The juice tasted as if it was from concentrate the Yogurt if they had any was only plain. There were no bread rolls croissants pastries available. The coffee was good though and the one morning I had poached eggs they were perfectly cooked. The Hotel was very clean and the staff very nice, polite and attentive. The rooms are cleaned well and provide a hairdryer and tea coffee facilities. The Aston room lovely bathroom but let down by no hand held shower hose just the power down one you need to take a shower cap if you do not need to wash your hair everyday. Comfortable bed but too hot as a winter filled duvet was on the bed. Bedroom fan was supplied which helped. Internet was of good signal but the TV reception hit and miss early evening. Hotel is in a lovely village but no shop to nip to."

Stayed at the Harcourt Arms while attending the Nocturne at Blenheim Palace. Great pub, really nice rooms, helpful staff, would definitely stay again.

Midweek so it was quiet. Friendly service. Decent food. A bit expensive for what it is but decent none-the-less and a better experience than my previous visit some time ago.

Stayed here on a business trip, not a typical business stop over location but was struggling to find a hotel. This place was great, top level service from the moment i arrived. Food quality excellent good value for money. It's slightly off the main track for me personally based on where I work, however i'll be keeping it on my list to use again.

I could not find anything on the main menu I fancied so I asked what was on the specials board that was advertised as a daily specials menu. There was no specials! Monday) I then went and chose the fish chips but was extremely disappointed! The fish batter was over cooked and minty pea’s “yuk”! Why not just stick to the traditional mushy peas as minty peas do not go with the small pot of curry sauce!

We enjoyed a remarkable 2 nights at the Harcourt Arms, checking in on a Sunday evening and leaving Tuesday AM. All staff were very welcoming engaging. Our room was exceptional (we booked the suite which is highly recommended! and the Harcourt Arms is very well placed geographically for Oxford, The Cotswolds, Bicester etc. The ladies at breakfast were lovely and the food (both breakfasts dinner were of a very good quality. We cannot recommend this 'gem ' highly enough and will definitely be returning one day... For those travelling with 4 paws it 's a super warm welcome also!

Stayed for one night en route . Upgraded to the Blenheim suite ! Wow ….it didn’t disappoint.Everything top notch ! Booked Dinner Food was served in dog friendly dining room . Sadly only four people dining ,so atmosphere a little lacking . I had Rotisserie chicken with juices . Half a roasted chicken ,nothing special at all £20) Potatoes extra at £5 as not included . No veg …..Nothing at all special I’m afraid.Husband had the Gammon ,again just average but at £18 expected it to be better. A shame really as we had high hopes of a delicious culinary experience…..wasn’t bad but just OK

While the food was really lovely, we felt the service let down the price they were charging. My main course arrived 5 minutes after the 3 others on my table which meant they had to start as already getting cold (plates were not warm). What was more annoying was that no one came to collect our main course plates after we’ve finished or ask about desert. Instead I had to walk into the bar and find a someone who could pay our bill but almost all of the service staff appeared to have left, it was empty, and no one was looking after us. At £30 a main course, we felt this was sub standard and needs to be addressed. To be forgotten felt unacceptable. While food was very good, probably best mackerel...

A warm welcome was really absent on arriving at the Harcourt arms for an overnight stay and dinner on Saturday evening. A 'How was your journey ' 'did you find us ok ' 'have you had a good day ' would 've been small touches but would 've made a positive difference to our arrival. Even an enthusiastic smile would 've been welcoming at the very least. The staff on Saturday evening service in the restaurant seemed to be inexperienced without a senior member of staff in charge, lots of hanging round the bar trying to look busy, but forgetting they had paying customers in. It had a disjointed feel to the service and team. More relaxing seating needed in the bar for after dinner too this would 've...
