"a first-class pub with a lot of atmosphere and charm. really friendly owners and employees who work hard to make every visit pleasant. beautiful people, cheap drinks, warm fire in winter, lots of space for warmer days. tw for important sporting events (but not intrusive) and a varied menu that is not expensive. the fresh fish and chips of the Friday night are simply delicious and russell offers a delivery service for the local oaps."

Superb family orientated traditional English Pub. Excellent menu and very good value for money. The pub motto Enter as a Stranger and Leave as a Friend sums up the Hoops perfectly!

Though it was a very sombre occasion celebrating Clive's wake, the atmosphere was excellent as always. Clive was busy trying to empty the Guinness barrel, and doing quite a good job of it.

I am in the states and think every day about when I again eat the hoops for the people (amy, tracey, russell, dave, michaela, becky, etc., and of course the kronenbourg! it won't take long!

had a super dinner for Valentine's Day yesterday complete with pink prosecco and a red rose : . probably the best rogan josh I've ever tasted and the heavenly bakewell cake is to die. thanks!

Went for the pizza tasting yesterday and was so greedy (and impressed) that we had to order a whole one! Lush! My 2 year old is still talking about the nice pizza! today! Can 't wait to go back!
