"Been here before for breakfast and loved it. So suggested to my friends we go here again for breakfast. The waiter taking our order was very rude, my friend ordered 2 drinks for herself and he sighed and rolled his eyes! We then went and ordered the food. There was 6 of us and he didn’t write anything down about our order then when it came it was all wrong which I’m not surprised as it would be hard to memories 6 peoples orders. We told the waiter that bits of it were wrong or missing and he just sighed again. At this point we just ate and left quickly as we felt uncomfortable. So dissapointing because I have loved this before. Hopefully our next visit is different."

Spent two nights at this place first was just drinks, second was food and drinks then had breakfast the morning before we left nothing at all to fault. Food was delicious place was spotless. Staff where amazing David especially, what a lovely young man we probably wouldn’t of had dinner the next night here if it wasn’t for how welcoming he was I’d highly recommend to friends family and all xxx

absolutely amazing place. the personal is super helpful and nothing is too much annoyed. could not decide about the ribs or the brisket so that I and my partner have ordered and shared one each. the braut is literally from this world. Overall, eating is exceptional and there is a fantastic gin menu and for a man of my age. the ornamentation on the cake was the small miniature magic round, which extends laboriously on the wall. so glad we stumbled over this place. we will be coming back!

My family and I came for an evening meal on the 1st September and all 7 of us were delighted with the food, drinks and service. 4 of us are vegetarian and we were spoilt for choice, so many yummy options which is a rareity. I had Mac and Cheese and it was to die for. We all really enjoyed our food. The meat eaters had a burger and fish and chips and the child menu was fab for our 10 year old. I love how quaint and quirky the restaurant is. The toilet may be an issue for anyone with mobility issues though. We could not fault the service- the waiter and waitress who served us were very friendly and attentive. Lovely experience, highly recommend

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
