"I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the overall atmosphere at this restaurant. The interior was lovely. I don't understand the negative reviews as we didn't encounter any of the issues mentioned. Despite it being busy when we arrived, we were served in a reasonable amount of time. The Venison Burger was delicious. We were able to bring both of our dogs with us and it wasn't a problem. There were other dogs in the pub as well, and everyone was welcomed. The price per person was between £10-£20."

After taking a long detour from Campbeltown to reach this bar for lunch, we were disappointed to find out that the scampi listed on their website menu was unavailable. Overall, we rated the food a 3, service a 3, and atmosphere a 2.

Terrific atmosphere and the bar staff are very attentive. Margaret-Anne really adds to the vibe with her non stop banter! Food was really nice too. Overall just a lovely place to come. Definitely advise booking in advance if you want to eat.

A great place with a good atmosphere. The food is great with a good selection of local alcohol. Margaret-Anne looked after us well and kept us entertained. There isn’t much options for food locally so ensure you book in advance. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went with visiting family for a meal. Good menu but still not a full menu. A lot of quite expensive items and the drinks were expensive but we were happy with what we got. Although disappointed that there were no Fajitas and no Haggis Nachos. The buffalo loaded fries no longer come with chicken but the chef did put chicken through ours on request. Very pleasant staff. Was very tasty x Price per person: £30–40 View menu

When we entered, and said we had no reservation, we were greeted by 2 woman behind the bar, who gave us an unwelcome and unfriendly reception, with the attitude: no reservation? Then don't bother us! Only the young girl behind the bar was friendly. She was probably not yet infected by the rude attitude of the 2 other woman. So we came, within 3 minutes we went, and decided never to enter this place again........ Service: 1

I was disappointed with the service and food at this restaurant, so I made a complaint to the management. They arranged for a complimentary meal for two at another restaurant in their group, The Harbour Grille. This experience was a significant improvement - the staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive, and the food was delicious. It was a completely different experience, and I am very grateful to Mhari Morrison for making it happen. The cost per person was between £10-£20.

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
