"that was nice to eat. but it was very busy and they didn't have enough staff. they did the best they could and hastened to serve everyone as quickly as possible. it took 30 minutes until our drinks come and were missing extras on my mother's meal. was so busy my mother said not to worry, but take it out of the bill they did. should have been more personal for bookings. was more business than normal due to the performance at deco. but would have had to know from the bookings that more employees were needed."

beautiful place to eat, but it was sad to her last day of the trade.

Went there for lunch on New Year’s Eve. Really good food and fantastic service.

we went for a pre-theater menu and the service started well, but when the press was about an hour later full, they really struggled to handle and service was too slow. View menu

a few times to eat and drink are great, my only handle is that although the staff are very nice and polite, can be slow to busy times. value for money and great atmosphere. will go back.

I’ m a regular customer. I love the burgers and the fries, but last time my child tried the Mac and cheese. Horrible taste. Also, even if we have been at 4:30 and immediately ordered the food, we didn’t get the child free meal.

Even from outside, the large pile of trash, broken furniture and boxes should have been a sign of what waited for us inside. There were three tables. The service was incredibly slow and the food was only fair. It took us nearly 30 minutes to get our lunch. The server was regularly outside smoking. View menu

For everybody who comes just for a drink probably best place ever for the evening, but if you come for a food-it is awful unfortunately. Chicken burned, you literally don’t know if it is fish or chicken or just smth burnt you are eating. Service not the best as well. Slow, mixed up everything-first came starter, then drinks, then mains. And instead of alkohol free beer for the driver we got regular beer.

Very disappointing, So I visited last year with my family, such a lovely experience, unfortunately no more! Rude Staff, Dirty, Poorly Managed and RAT INFESTED!!! I found out after my visit that its no longer family run and its a managed pub now. I was sitting in the garden and I must have counted large rats one came right up to my feet then went to the kitchen door.. Absolutely freaked me out! I told staff but they weren't bothered so we left immediately.. Revolting!

"I had the pleasure of visiting La Terraza Tapas Bar in Upton with my kids, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was incredibly cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a family outing. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the tapas selection. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more, and the Tempura prawns were simply delectable. It's clear that the chefs here take pride in their creations, as every dish we tried was a delightful journey for the taste buds. As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience, and I can confidently say it won't be our last visit. While the prices leaned slightly towards the expensive side, the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance more than made up for it. La Terraza Tapas Bar strikes the perfect balance between a gourmet dining experience and a comfortable family outing. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is always an important factor for me when choosing a place to dine. All in all, La Terraza Tapas Bar offers a fantastic option for a memorable lunch with family or friends. If you're looking for a place that combines delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and a touch of elegance, this is definitely a spot worth considering. AKASAKA Japanese

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
