This was great, but we were advised by the manager the place was temporarily closing for 6-8 weeks for refurbishment. It will re-open as a smokehouse in maybe March 2024. The prices were a little high considering this is such a suburban location. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 View menu

This restaurant has a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind, and Josh provided excellent service. We enjoyed a delicious meal, particularly loving the steak pie and the appealing carvery. We will definitely return in the future! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a booking here for Sunday lunch today (14th Jan 2024) We arrived to find the pub closed and clearly this is a permanent thing. Having driven for an hour we weren’t happy. Totally irresponsible not to inform us- we called on 2nd Jan to check all ok with booking and were told yes. So we wld give it zero stars if we could. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

If I could, I would give zero stars for everything. I had made a reservation for this restaurant today, even received a reminder yesterday, but after a 2-hour journey to meet my family for a birthday celebration, I found it closed for renovations. The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent. Even my 17-year-old brother was able to tackle the Henry VIII burger. My grandmother, who has Parkinson's, also had a great experience thanks to the exceptional service from our waitress. The price per person is £20-30 and the food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Chocolate Brownie, Roast Potatoes, and Beef Burger.

This is one of my favourite restaurants but tonight was awful. It took 5 minutes for anyone to see to us when we arrived, even when we booked, the waitress and lad were oblivious we were there, the lad didn 't know what the drinks were when handing them to us, when he handed us the meals he thought the salmon was seabass, the salmon must have been cook hours prior and left somewhere to keep warm as the thin end was so rubbery and chewy, it was inedible, the potatoes were the same, the lad came to us with another tables desserts, we asked for the bill and she totally forgot, it was like a sauna in there. There was really nothing nice about it. She asked us if everything was OK as she was taki...

A Thursday (21st December) Lunchtime trip for a carvery with a mate and the overall vibe was fine. Clean and tidy with an above average interior. The waitress was nice and took our drink orders along with letting us head up to the carvery quickly however the beer option on draught was 'possibly London pride '. I 'd have liked more options, maybe I should have gone to the bar myself, but still... The pint was nice enough. Food was what you 'd expect from a basic carvery. All aspects there, but the key bits restricted (even if the plate-size upgrade had been chosen) to a tiny chipolata, small stuffing ball and 2 thin slices of meat.
