"The atmosphere at this restaurant is amazing, with great music playing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They are also dog friendly and offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is decent, with the pizza dough being a standout. However, the rest of the pizza was nothing special. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience and would recommend this restaurant, just not the pizza."

Nothing special: the pulled pork ciabatta arrived in a French stick, the coleslaw was far too sweet; there are plenty of other eateries in Callander

Although I didn't have any food during my visit, the dishes I saw looked delicious. I particularly enjoyed trying the unique Baught Corner drink, which was a refreshing and enjoyable choice.

Definitely a must stop over when in Callender. Lovely drinks and service. Robbie who served us made us feel welcome and comfortable. Which is a big thing to say because my mother suffers with high anxiety. Will definitely come back. Thank you Robbie.

This is a nice inn, had a pint with my other half and bar staff were nice. Wish we had went there for our dinner, but will next time. Was lovely watching the world go by in the beer garden. I would recommend The Riverside Inn for a quiet refreshments and a bite to eat.

"We stayed here for 3 nights recently. This was our first visit to Callander Meadows but most certainly won’t be our last. It is fantastic! The owners – Nick and Susannah – were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Dog friendly was important to us and again, our pet pooch was also made to feel welcome, particularly as the owners also have a Spaniel (Fergus). Our room was spotlessly clean and it was quite novel to sleep in a four-poster bed. It was a good size room and had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was superb – good choice and plenty of it! Dinner is available Wednesday-Saturday but we weren’t able to sample the delights of their menu as we didn’t want to leave the dog in the bedroom and opted instead to dine in local restaurants (the Crown and The Waverley in Callander and The Forth Inn Aberfoyle, all of which are dog friendly and serve good food at reasonable prices). We used the Guest Lounge at night and also after breakfast as we were able to bring the dog down and enjoy a leisurely coffee before heading out. There are a number of parking options. There’s a gate to the left of the property and we were told we could use this, although there’s a bit of a slope down to it. You can stop here (in front of the gate) to drop off luggage etc. We parked on the main road outside the property which is free of charge – but there are times when there are no spaces. There are a couple of pay car parks nearby (Callander Meadows is very close) which charge from 8.45 – 5.30 (I think) and the cost is £2 or £3. Only once we had to park here overnight (no charge) and move the car to the main road before 8.45. Callander is a lovely place and ideal for walkers and cyclists in particular. The fact that Callander Meadows was like a deluxe home from home was just the icing on the cake! Highly recommended!"
