"The decor both inside and out is fascinating. Quirky old objects and mis matched furniture so many ornaments, plants and wall hangings I don’t envy the person who has to keep it dust free. Service is with a smile and exceptional even though we sat outside in the back garden which is some distance away from kitchen and up and down several sets of steps. We went for breakfast our coffees were lovely and the full English was very good indeed. This review has dropped a star because the granola was described as being with Greek yoghurt and seasonal fruit. There was a very small amount of yoghurt in proportion to the amount of granola so it was very very dry to eat. And disappointing that the seasonal fruit was not fresh but more like a blackcurrant jam. I was disappointed with this dish I think the chef should get the proportion of yogurt to oats more balanced."

A great atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, and great food. Not expensive. What’s not to like. A good selection of beers all well kept.

Nice pub with beautiful surroundings but the food was quite average, definitely not rising up to the expectations. The sticky toffee pudding was particularly bad, almost stale.

This delightful pub restaurant in a picturesque village offers full meals but no snacks. Additionally, it has guest rooms available and can accommodate weddings and other special events.

A warm welcome, a cosy table, super venison dish and a fine Tenuta Il Cascinone Barbera D’Asti. They also run a small wine shop. Purchased a few bottles. Well worth a visit to what we believe is great place for food and ambiance.

Lovely lunch with friends…..one party member has multiple food intolerances and Katie, Ryan and Dickson went out of their way to provide a meal which could be enjoyed and tolerated…. So lovely when so many places are not as helpful… thank you….. we will be back x

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, with friendly service and delicious food making it a great spot to visit repeatedly. We had a great experience with everything seeming effortlessly smooth, which is uncommon nowadays. Despite being late, our order was taken quickly, drinks arrived promptly, and the food was delicious, with everyone enjoying themselves. The only downside was our dessert, which we didn't enjoy and left untouched. However, without us even mentioning it, they took it off the bill. The service was amazing - we can't wait to come back.

I recently revisited this pub after a three-year absence and was disappointed by the experience. While the atmosphere and staff were pleasant, the food left much to be desired. We all agreed that the traditional Sunday roast lunch, particularly the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, fell short of our expectations. The roast potatoes and vegetables seemed stale and lacked freshness. The desserts were decent but pricey. Overall, we were underwhelmed and do not plan on returning anytime soon, especially with other competitive options available. The Formica tables did not impress me either. In conclusion, the meal was average at best and not worth the cost.

"I’ve never been before, we came yesterday for family dinner looking forward to a roast lunch dinner. The menu only had a choice of lamb or beef, not liking beef the choice for me was lamb. Within minutes a lady came to advise the lamb “had just sold out” I said I didn’t like beef but no other option was given and I therefore had to have the beef. The meal arrived the Yorkshire’s were not risen and burned. The vegetables were very nice the beef was shaped like a block mine was dry and over cooked. My husband had poured gravy all over his so he couldn’t tell but I don’t like a lot of gravy on my food and I could tell I gave my beef to him. We ordered a burger/cheese/bacon meal for our 12 year old, I made it really clear to the young girl to plead only out cheese/bacon/burger on and no healthy stuff no onions nothing she laughed and said she has a brother who is the same so understands we ordered the adult version as it said the children’s was for 10 years and under. My sons burger arrived with a load of crispy onions lettuce and tomatoes everything we had asked NOT to be added, I took the food off but he wouldn’t touch it having seen the salad was on it! After eating my main it was a massive disappointment to see the man behind us being served a roast lamb dinner when I was told it had all sold out!!!! I had ordered fruit crumble this was a massive portion in a bowl the crumble topping was nice but the fruit underneath tasted like melted jam rather than just gently cooked fresh fruit there was more fruit sauce than fruit making it quite sloppy I had a couple of mouthfuls and left it."
