"The Ship Inn did not seem to be aware of our OpenTable booking, which led to confusion upon our arrival. This seems to be a common issue with the restaurant according to other reviewers. We were eventually seated in the overflow dining area, where we were the only guests for almost 20 minutes. The ambiance was lacking and it felt like we could have just stayed home. However, once we were served, the food and service were quite good. I would recommend avoiding using OpenTable and instead booking directly with the restaurant to ensure a better dining experience in the main dining area or bar."

The restaurant offers a delicious vegan mushroom risotto with a side of garlic bread. The staff were very helpful in explaining which items on the menu were vegan-friendly.

I love the ship, the staff are friendly and mainly the food is good, however be sure to book especially at the weekends we have been caught out before when suddenly they stop serving as too busy.

The restaurant now offers four vegan options! I chose the vegan lasagne, which was delicious, and my partner had a chicken-style burger with fries and slaw. They also had dessert available, but we were too full to try it.

The Catch is a fish and chip takeaway attached to the Ship Inn. When we visited they had a whole board of vegan options inside fish fillets and fingers, chicken nuggets and sausages. The food was very nice and we were impressed with the options available.

The Ship Inn offers limited and expensive options for dinner, with a sit-down atmosphere that I have not yet tried. However, next door is The Catch, a Fish and Chips restaurant with separate, reasonably priced vegan choices. The staff are knowledgeable about the vegan options and the portions are generous. Plenty of outdoor seating is available, offering beautiful views of the Norfolk Coast. Enjoy your meal! View menu

I was dined last year at the ship and was so impressed that I was again booked by home before my vacation this year a few days in advance over open table. When my party arrived at 6:30 on time by seven people, we were told that there was no trace of our booking. for the luck I had printed out our confirmation and then a table was found for us. not an impressive start and this followed a very midst of the street menu, not almost as diverse as in the previous year. I will not come back or recommend to a friend.

I dined at this pub and found the vegan lasagne to be delicious and reasonably priced for the generous portion that was served with chips and garlic bread. There were several vegan options available, so I would have been happy to eat there again. However, the next afternoon I was sitting in the bar when a customer inquired about ordering vegan fish fingers. The landlord rudely told him to go to the fish shop next to the pub. As the customer left, the landlord made offensive remarks about him being a vegan. I was shocked by his behavior and decided not to return for a second meal.
