"The pub is in a very pretty location which can be fully appreciated in good weather. The food was good but the service erratic probably because there was only one person serving in the bar and restaurant area. This is a great shame because the poor girl was doing her best. One of our orders was served on a wooden board when a plate would have preferable. We were going to ask for a plate but felt sorry for the waitress so didn't. Unlike my friends I have been there in the past and have been happy with the food and service so this was disappointing."

Was very warmly welcomed instantly by Vicky, the Roast dinner was fabulous and just what was needed for on a Sunday afternoon!

Wonderful carvery as usual! Chef went above and beyond with a gluten free yorkie and gluten free gravy. Can't wait until we're down again!

I had a great experience with my first visit to this pub for Sunday lunch. The staff were very efficient, friendly, and helpful, and the food was delicious. Thank you!

Sunday lunch carvery was one of the best we’ve ever had. Generous portions and perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend. Also, staff were attentive and very pleasant.

This restaurant is dirty, serves terrible food, and the staff are impolite. We later discovered they have a very poor food hygiene rating, which makes us question why the prices are so high. Definitely one to avoid.

Came here last year it was great but this visit was very disappointing. Everything was extremely dry, Yorkshire puddings were very over cooked, stuffing was dry tasteless. Chocolate brownie bland. Staff are very friendly. Toilets are awful.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, dog-friendly pub with gorgeous food! Vienna the delightful little helper was especially professional and polite… We had the mac cheese and the buttermilk chicken burger, both very tasty and perfect portion sizes!

This was only our second visit here, and if we lived closer, we’d come once a month minimum, not once a year! The Sunday roast carvery was great value with fantastic quality food and the service was brilliant, such friendly staff, it didn’t matter we were ‘out of towners’ we were welcomed in and made to feel at home plus it’s a dog friendly pub, our Westie loved all the meat off cuts passed his way It’s in a gem of a location and has lovely outside dining areas and great local ales you won’t regret a visit here!

We decided to dine at this restaurant and ordered a bottle of rosé wine, a Pinot Grigio blush priced at £24. The quality was similar to a £6 bottle from a supermarket. Our garlic bread with cheese starter was delicious. For mains, we had a fish pie for £17.50 and a gammon steak for £14. The fish pie was tasty but lacked pieces of fish, with only 3 found - 1 piece of haddock, 1 piece of salmon, and 1 prawn. The gammon steak was disappointing, as it was more like a thin, salty, burnt sandwich steak. The eggs were also overcooked.
