"Cannot rate our Sunday lunch at The Stag at Ball’s Cross highly enough. The roast pork with all the trimmings was delicious and the biscotti cheesecake was out of this world. The staff went out of their way to be patient and friendly towards my frail elderly parents and helped to ensure that they had a relaxing time . It was their first meal out in many months, since my father came out of hospital. A sincere thank you to them all!"

Have been to the Stag several times and it is consistently good. Popped in again last week for lunch and a pint. Food was great and there is a good choice of beer.

Classic English pub with great food and service. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the Halloumi burger and both were delicious. We will be back again (and again).

A perfect country pub. Cosy, unpretentious and welcoming. A great menu to suit all tastes. Local produce and vegetarian options. Delicious, perfectly cooked dishes. We loved it ! I only wish we didn’t live in Australia….

for a fast drink, fabulous interieur, original, historical gem. bad beer, not to taste my men, but that shouldn't be them out of fabulous ambiente and the most beautiful camein with a roaring log fire, what is not to love? local discuss the days antik and friendly. it was before my doorstep!
