"Awesome pub. Downstairs you have the bar, and a bar snack menu. This menu in itself serves quality food for bar snacks !! Dogs allowed in the bar area. Up the stairs and to the right you have a restaurant with an A La Carte menu which is spacious. There's outside seating, although this gets full up quickly when it's sunny. There is accommodation available onsite too which is at the back. This pub ticks every box, with casual drinks in the bar to meals in the restaurant.... its worth a visit. Close to the river too for country walks. Parking available, although limited spaces, but you can park on the road down the side of the pub too."

As always good food and service. The only slight downside is the prices but overall a good place for a special occasion.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Food was very good and came to the table hot ...... unlike the liquor coffee’s which unfortunately were cold!

Amazing steak as good as I know Steaks from Australia. Beautiful homemade sauces with steak. More pricey then cheaper pubs but totally worth it. View menu

we were here to make friends a birthday party. the food was excellent. the room had everything we needed and was warm and ckean. the beds were comfortable and lots of towels. the breakfast was amazing excellent quality eating and brilliant service. I am pleased that we add it to our option, as we originally only booked as a room. View menu

on the first warm, sunny Saturday this year we had an impromptu lunch and sat outside for lunch in this beautiful pub. the personal was welcoming, the menu had many choices including the selection for gluten-free, which was a big bonus. the food was delivered in time and was really delicious. nice pub, great food and a fabulous afternoon had all. will definitely be revisiting.

visited on 25th juni and had a fabulous experience. a sweet little pub, good price and eating is incredible. we ordered a chickenburger and asked to pull pork inside, it came and it was stunning, so my partner fish and chips. we also had tweepering rings that were light and tasty as well as haloumi fries and it was just over all breathtaking. would go back and would recommend.

"Richard and I, en route from Cambridge to Shropshire, chanced upon this splendid cafe in Kettering, easily accessible from the A14. The cafe occupies a cosy space with a breakfast bar by the window, offering a lovely view of the local red-brick architecture, and a fine place from which to watch the colourful characters of Kettering passing by. Unlike some cafes, there was no 'greasy spoon ' smell, which was a boon. Instead a delightful and appetite-arousing aroma of freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Richard opted for the small breakfast, and had no trouble in swapping out his eggs and tomato for black pudding and mushrooms at no extra cost. I ordered the much-vaunted breakfast baguette. The food was cooked freshly and served quickly. Richard was impressed by the appearance of his plate, and more so by the delicious food which he consumed with gusto. Richard said the bacon was well cooked, the mushrooms were good, not too greasy, generally everything was well cooked, the only thing that could have been better was the sausage, which was fine but obviously a 'standard quality ' sausage . My breakfast baguette was fantastic, the crispy bread was marvellous and the generous filling was hot and tasty, and not at all greasy. All this, plus two steaming cups of flavoursome tea for the bargain price of £9.90. We both took the opportunity to use the facilities and we 're impressed with their cleanliness and the provision of Radox soap. On the whole a great find. We will certainly drop in again if we pass by on another adventure."
