"We went there for a meal it was steak night Thursday advertised on the banner outfront in the car park £9.95 any steak There was no steaks for that price cheapest steak was around £13 got told by the waitress “still a good deal” not seeming to realise that you should sell what you advertise Chips awful cheap processed, salad had bits of grit in it. To be fair the steak was passable Drinks seam way over priced. They have got their selves into a catch 22 position have to charge a lot to cover there overheads for the fewer people who go in. Then less people going because they charge a lot."

Had lunch here. Generous amount of tasty food that was served quickly, I had the haddock and chips with mushy peas while partner had a ciabatta BLT. Just the ticket after a five mile hike. Staff also very friendly.

a very busy pub, with good food, parking and friendly service it is not surprising. the bar service was a tad slow, as there were many food orders with drinks, so we had to wait. otherwise a large pub with many garden furniture outside to enjoy the fresh air.

Popped in for lunch which we really enjoyed. The staff were helpful and loved the pub. Plenty of seating outside in the garden area and a big car park out front. It is a dog-friendly pub which is great as we had our little one with us. Nice pub in a lovely village. We will be back.

The kids loved the garden but thats about as good as it gets. Food was out of a box. The kids burgers were inedible, rubbery and tasteless. The deep fried selection was Iceland finest, out of a box and into the microwave. Staff pleasant enough and beer selection good but I wouldn't eat there again.

really don't blame that this place...Super service...only 2 employees, but still didn't have to wait long to be served. beautiful welcoming atmosphere with a lot of cozy atmosphere...first time here and will come back .food very tasty...very popular with the family as a huge garden area for children. huge log burner in the lounge. very reasonable price. £72 for 2 courses for 3 people and 5 drinks! brilliant.

"So disappointingBefore coming to the swan I had looked at the menu online, as my youngest child has allergies and is dairy free. It states on the menu that ‘light bites’ are GF and most can be adapted to be DF, brilliant! It was our last day of our holiday and I thought I’d treat them to a nice lunch out before heading home. Where do I start, the service attitude from the lady behind the bar was shocking. I asked what could be made DF for my son and was told that there wasn’t anything and they don’t cater for allergies?! I pointed out on the menu that they state they can and was met with an eye roll basically. Anyway, I thought I would get him some chips, nope, they fry them in the same oil as the dairy and meat products we are vegetarian ! I then asked about the VEGAN dishes they had and I was told they are also cooked and prepared for alongside the meat products so they can’t guarantee they will actually be vegan!! By this point my daughters had already got excited about eating out and the play area that I couldn’t really back track, so I went against my better judgement and ordered 3 sandwiches on granary bread and a childrens fish chips. My son had a packet of crisps. The sandwiches arrived and were absolutely awful, the cheese and onion one was 2 slices of cheap shop bought bread with some pre grated cheese and a couple of slices of onion not even any butter! It wasn’t cheap, £45 for 4 soft drinks, 3 sandwiches and a child meal. Then there’s the play area, sharp screws poking up through the wood chip, lose sharp fixings on top of the slide, and a massive electric open cable under the swings! We swiftly left, it was such a bad end to our holiday and should have been our final hurrah before driving home. Was appalled at their attitude towards me, was treated like an inconvenience, food was awful, please don’t eat there if you are Vegan, although the dish is vegan ? they certainly don’t take the steps necessary to keep it away from meat, and definitely not safe for anyone with an allergy. Such a shame as the location is so pretty with the river opposite, we were excited and left feeling really disappointed. Will not be back."
