"We had a good meal at Toby's restaurant, but unfortunately, the service was poor. When we arrived, the hostess we saw had a large queue to manage. Additionally, she was called to the bar, leaving us waiting for another 10 minutes. I left the queue and sought help from another waitress who was also very busy, but she managed to find a table for us. Although all the staff were doing their best, there was not enough coverage. We had booked online and showed our reservation upon arrival, but it was not recorded. It was disappointing to experience this as we usually have a pleasant dining experience."

I came for Sunday lunch with my friend, we asked for a child plate because we renter and have a small appetit, we were only available a grown carvery, and when the bill came it was very expensive 2 koks and 2 carvery 28.88p I fear we will not visit again View menu

My granddaughters and I booked a table. We received a friendly greeting on arrival. Unfortunately the table we were given was near the main door and it was very chilly. We asked to be moved. The waitress very helpful and quickly found us another table which was fine. The food was lovely and the service was swift. Will definitely go back.

The carvery food was decent. The pork and beef I chose were tasty, but I was a bit bothered by the fact that the server picked up meat that fell off the serving platter onto the surrounding surface and put it back onto the plate. The selection of vegetables was good, but they were in a bit of a mess and needed to be replenished. The woman behind me complained about this. The plates were cold, so the food didn't stay warm for long enough, which was disappointing. The dessert was good and salvaged the meal.
