This small café is lovely. The staff greeted us warmly and were very friendly. They offer a wide selection of delicious traditional dishes and incredibly scrumptious cakes.

The food and service at this restaurant are consistently fantastic. Children are welcome and love the seasonal decorations. The service is great for dining in, and the meal type is lunch. The price per person is typically £60-70.

I enjoyed a delicious hot turkey and stuffing roll at this restaurant. The service was excellent, and I dined in for lunch. The price per person was between £10-20. The food and service both received a rating of 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 4.

Excellent lots more than what we expected. Service was great, quality of the food was brilliant and the side salad was huge and fresh as could possibly be. We stayed in a rented holiday home in Warkworth square called Clara's Cottage, which sleeps up to six people with three ensuite bedrooms, a dining room for eight, a living room, fully equipped kitchen, and a washer/dryer room. We also took some time to learn about the history behind the house. We had an excellent week with bright, sunny weather the entire time. We have already booked to return in July and August this year before we left yesterday morning. Margaret, the manager, always went the extra mile. Well done to her and her wonderful team at the Topsey Turveys café and Clara's Cottage in Warkworth.

We visited the restaurant in the late afternoon, just half an hour before closing time. We were informed that only coffee and cake were available, which was understandable. However, we felt quite unwelcome. Our server was very rude and seemed like she did not want to be there, making us feel uncomfortable. This poor service led us to decide to leave without ordering any cake. The restaurant had a strange policy of adding an extra 50p to the bill if no food was ordered to cover the waitress service. A sign on the wall also stated that all bills should be paid in cash, as they had incurred high fees from card transactions in the past month. Wow. Where do I start. It is a rare occasion for me to write a bad review, but I felt the need to warn others, as this cafe left a sour taste. So, grab a cuppa and make yourself comfortable, this is a doozy. First impressions, it is like walking into your hoarder nannas house, full of very odd mismatched items, all gathering dust, with some fake candle sets etc for sale, very strange. We were ‘greeted’ on entering by a very abrupt portly older woman (server), who seemed to be annoyed that we had the audacity to ask for a table, she signposted us to two tables of two (we were a family of three adults and a child).
