"Wandering the streets on a Saturday evening in lovely Chiaia, Naples, looking for a good pizza. Most places were booked but we got into Umberto. The service was very good, the wine portions were generous, and my pizza, Pizza Napoletana, was delicious. My partners broccoli one was really not my cuppa tea. I have to say the restaurant itself was very big, and I found the lights much too bright, but was happy with my pizza!"

La pizza più buona che io abbia mai mangiato. Ho cenato al ristorante Umberto diverse volte e la qualità dei piatti, nonché il servizio sono sempre stati eccellenti. La pizza è veramente strepitosa, di gran lunga superiore a quella delle pizzerie più popolari di Napoli. Se siete di Napoli, o in vacanza, non potete non provare questo ristorante.

Ottime pietanze, a partire dal gattò di patate come antipasto, per passare alle polpette di nonna Ermelinda, davvero spettacolari. Chiusura in bellezza con il tiramisud. umberto è una garanzia di qualità e gentilezza. lasciando il menu che rispetta periodicamente le stagioni e impeccabile riesce a soddisfare qualsiasi tipo di esigenza con goto, posso solo complimentare i proprietari e tutto il personale per il modo in cui inviano questa attività storica con passione. dal 2019 (quando l'ho incontrato) ad oggi è il primo posto che prego quando sono a napoli. al prossimo

Umberto was an unplanned dinner decision but it ended up being great especially since I have celiac disease food plan changes can be stressful but I had this place as a back up. The waitstaff understood my needs for gluten free and lactose free cheese which was a bonus and the menu had plenty of GF pizza options. I got the pizza at the bottom with chorizo and spinach and lactose free mozzarella, it was really good.
