However, I had a recent experience with my friend where our order was incorrect, and I was unexpectedly refused alcohol due to being perceived as underage—it's baffling, considering I clearly don’t look anywhere near that young. I voiced my concern to the bartender, who has seen me there before, and thankfully, I was able to get my drink. Plus, since it was my friend's birthday, they surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne, which was a lovely touch! I would definitely recommend this place for the tasty £1.99 meals. The spirits were watered down! The dance floor is great, and the music is pretty good, but I definitely noticed that the drinks were diluted.

You know what? There's a certain stigma around Yates's and Wetherspoons, and honestly, it's a bit unfair. Hot Steve's sister had the first part of her hen do there last night, and we had a fantastic time. The bar manager was extremely attentive and helpful, making us feel like VIPs throughout the night. We were treated to balloons, a few complimentary bottles of fizz, our own reserved area, and priority service at the bar—it was wonderful! We pre-ordered our food, and everyone was pleased with their meals. I had the smoked haddock fishcakes, and they were delicious. So, in conclusion, we had a genuinely fun night that didn't cost a fortune. Well done, Yates's—you've earned a five-star rating...
