"A small, friendly cafe in the centre of Thirsk, serving breakfast and a range of salads, sandwiches, light bites and cakes. I’ve visited a couple of times and found the coffee to be superb whilst my friend enjoyed the decaf tea (Yorkshire Tea, I think . On one occasion, my young granddaughter and friend tucked into a homemade scone each which, judging by the few crumbs left on their plates, they liked! The food and drinks are definitely worthy of top marks but, unfortunately, the cafe is tight on space and, on this last occasion, we kept getting knocked as customers and staff pushed past our table. Also, the chairs are not especially comfortable (no cushion on the seat and I wouldn’t want to sit for too long (okay for a drink and sweet treat, though! . A shame really, as the food looked delicious and there’s a nice atmosphere."

The soups. My god they are bliss. Cauliflower and cheese soup with a dunking bread cake. Go large for the extra 50p. Mosy round the town with soup in hand, yes please.

This is a great little spot for enjoying an afternoon lunch. The food is well-priced, comes out quickly, and is hot and fresh. Plus, they have a fantastic specials board. View menu

The cheese and onion sandwich was overpriced and smothered in mayonnaise. I was hoping for actual slices of cheese and onion. The salad was good, but it came with a large portion of mayonnaise-laden coleslaw.

A small but amazing cafe. First time we walked in was busy , so no tables left, but after 10-15’ we managed to find a table. Friendly staff, nice food , ok prices . Because it’s small, during busy times, people squeeze past you, so you may not have enough space to sit comfortably . Overall a good 4-4.5 out of 5

We called in for a coffee at around 11am and were so impressed with the service and menu that we called in again for lunch at 1pm! A Great little cafe with a varied menu and great selection of hot and cold drinks including local beers and ciders. The food was excellent as was the service. Quite a small cafe so getting a table could be a problem during the busy season. Happy to recommend and would certainly call again if in the area. View menu

Ordered garlic mushrooms on sourdough from the specials menu. Initial impression looked good until realising that 60% of the topping was actually creamy onions which weren't even mentioned on the menu. Spoilt meal completely. Second food order was a very uninspiring sausage sandwich. Politely mentioned these details to mature counter assistant. Did not seem to care. No apology whatsoever. On the plus side, the young lady who served us was very pleasant and the coffee was excellent, albeit expensive. There are nicer cafes in Thirsk.

We were staying in Thirsk for a few days a couple of weeks ago and decided to come here on the Sunday morning for breakfast. There was such a choice written on the blackboard. In the end I had Egg Royale which was the best I had ever tasted and my husband had the Full Veggie breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed. We had a pot of Yorkshire tea each to accompany our breakfast. The cafe was busy but we didn't have to wait long to be served. The staff were very friendly and efficient. There was a lovely homely feel to the place. We would thoroughly recommend coming here if you are in Thirsk.
