Nice location with view of the lake. Food was above average and the staff were all kind and created a nice atmosphere.

We have eaten here several times and have always been very satisfied. The reception and service were very professional and quick. The menu always shows seasonal dishes and the classics. Volle Punktzahl. Waren heute mit 5 Paaren und Kindern zu Abend. Service sehr zügig, top organisiert, sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Our expectations were absolutely met. The food was just delicious and Mr Püttmann also came to every table to find out if everything was to our satisfaction. The service was not quite perfect because the wine was not always re-invented, although the glasses were empty and at the end of the menu we had to serve ourselves. It's not really worth talking. We definitely come back because the quality of food was just perfect.

Wen you are near Bocholt, it is easy to find the village of Dorsten. At a very nice spot you'll find this beautiful Gasthof. A terrace under old trees and a beautiful view on the small lake. Thomas takes his time to prepare wonderful dishes but also to great his visitors personally. The quality of the food and the effort to present it makes this place worth a visit. The prices are a bit higher then average in Germany, but the food and entourage compensate for this.

My husband and I tried this place on a Saturday night. The decor is very nice, and the place has a great atmosphere. We started with an appetizer of mushrooms baked in beer dough. It was good and piping hot. For mains we both had Zuricher Schnitzel, which was topped with cooked tomatoes and onions and covered with baked mozzarella and sauces. The schnitzel itself wasn't very tender, but the flavor was very nice. Our meal also came with fries, salad, and homemade bread. The portions were huge.This restaurant seemed very popular with the 50 crowd, and would be a great place for a birthday or family dinner.
