A refreshing blend of succulent shrimp, crisp greens, and zesty dressing.

"We are currently staying in a lodge nearby and decided to visit Luss in the mid-morning. After walking around the area, we stopped in for a bite to eat and a drink. A nice bonus was that it was dog-friendly! We ordered two Scottish breakfasts, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very welcoming and even offered our dog some treats and water without us having to ask. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through, and we would definitely visit again. Service: Dine-in."

"As everything shuts early on Sunday nights (same for Mondays) we came for an early dinner. I hadn’t had lunch too long ago so I decided to have two sides, the shrimp and cheese dippers. My partner had a bbq stack burger with chips. The shrimp and cheese dippers were nice and I liked the sauces. They didn’t have milkshakes and we wanted a sundae but they were out of ice cream which was disappointing. It was quite pricey but maybe other places are cheap. I don’t run a business so it’s hard for me to judge. Updated from previous review on 2022-09-05"

"I had a wonderful walk on Skinningrove beach with Buster and Mrs, and decided to search for the nearest bar. I came across this incredible place, which I had passed by a few times without realizing it was a bar/restaurant. The staff were lovely and accommodating to dogs, and we enjoyed a delicious prawn sandwich with a side of chips. The other meals on the menu looked appetizing and were reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning in the future."

"This is the probably the best bar/restaurant in Whitstable. You can have a drink here before eating elsewhere with recommendations from the great staff or stay for a scrumptious meal in the bar or restaurant. The food and service are second to none. We had a lovely lunch without breaking the bank which isn’t easy in Whitstable. We had drinks another evening in a relaxed bar. Yes it’s only for children over 12 years (replying to the petulant comment below) but as a mother and grandmother it’s nice sometimes just to have a meal or drink without the little ones. I can’t recommend the Royal Naval Reserve enough. Thank you to the lovely staff and owners. We will definitely be back!"

"The finest Greek cuisine in the countryside! The service is exceptional, the staff is welcoming, and the portion sizes are generous—all at great prices. Whenever we're craving Greek food, we always choose Commercial Winds. The flavors are outstanding, and the dining experience is delightful. While takeout is nearly as good as dining in, it simply can't compare to the fantastic atmosphere created by the owner and staff at this wonderful gem of a restaurant. It's easy to overlook this hidden treasure, but don't let that happen!"

"Do not buy gift vouchers from Newlyn Filmhouse unless you are absolutely sure the recipient will be able to use them. Unfortunately they’ve taken a massive hard line for a request for an extension. We only asked for one months extension for £60 worth of vouchers it wouldn’t cost them anything, their attitude was immovable and unacceptable as a local business. Totally disappointing, expected far more Savoy in Penzance, next time!"

"**Dining Experience: Lunch** **Price Range: £10–£20 per person** **Recommended Dish: Sunday Roast** I recently enjoyed a delightful lunch at this restaurant. The price range is reasonable, typically falling between £10 and £20 per person, making it a great value for anyone looking for a satisfying meal. I highly recommend trying the Sunday Roast—it was absolutely delicious!"

"I ordered the fish finger sandwich, which was subpar— the fish fingers looked grey and heavily processed. The tiny side salad and coleslaw, which were extras, tasted as though they had been sitting out for a while. The meal felt overpriced; two fish finger sandwiches and two soft drinks came to just under £30, which seemed excessive for lunch. I noticed that most of the other customers were elderly, in their 70s, while my dining companion and I are in our mid-30s. I can't fault the staff, as they were friendly and attentive, but the food is really what's holding this place back. It seems like the restaurant is relying on its prime location and has allowed both the food quality and the decor to decline."

"Last night was seriously disappointing at Lucia’s Beverley. We’d booked a table for 8 to celebrate 3 birthdays and were looking forward to some great food, atmosphere and company among friends in a vibrant restaurant on a Saturday night. We got seated in a cosy area of the indoor part and began to enjoy our night. After eating our mains we were approached by a bouncer/door man, who came over to our table and told to to keep our voices down!!! Bearing in mind we were a party of 8, it was a Saturday night in what’s know as a vibrant lively restaurant in the centre of town and we weren’t shouting or using bad language. This absolutely RUINED our night. Who wants to be told this while having a good night eating dinner among friends? After spending a fair amount of money on bottles of Prosecco, other drinks, starters and very average tasting mains we were made to feel like naughty school kids in the corner (despite us all being in our 40s). We have never felt so offended! The comment from a bouncer (not even a friendly waitress), was absolutely uncalled for. There was an older couple on a table next to us (who we can only assume we’re the ones who complained about our high spirits) to warrant this over the top and completely unnecessary telling off. We had planned on staying in Lucia’s for more drinks and desserts but quickly vacated to another venue after the lucia fun police showed up. A shame for the restaurant in times of economic hardship as the table wouldn’t have been filled after we left since it was around 9.30pm. Given the food was disappointing too, we have all decided we won’t be back to this restaurant any time soon."

"Sea front Hotel. We popped in for breakfast while holidaying in nearby Burnham-on-sea. One full English breakfast and one eggs on fried bread and 2 coffees. "Very tasty home cooked in little cafe just of the promenade. Go find it and eat it Situated just behind the flamingo arcade is this hidden little gem. Not just a cafe but also a place by asian ingredients within. You will by welcomed the host and service is second to none. We had some mixed starters to begin. The summer rolls where very fresh and were a welcome break from some of the other fried starters. The Pho soup was very light and refreshing. It complimented our fried power with chilli fish sauce. All In all, a very pleasant and tasty meal with plenty of sauces to try our dishes with."

"We dined at this restaurant last year and were very impressed with both the food and service. Because we had such a great experience, we decided to book a table again today to celebrate a birthday. My father-in-law has high standards, but he couldn't find anything wrong with the food, although he mentioned that the portions might be a bit large. Regardless, he and the rest of us really enjoyed our meals. As someone who is intolerant to garlic, I was pleased that the chef prepared a fresh sauce for the stuffed chicken I ordered. It was delicious, and I had no issues after eating, which was reassuring. A big thank you to all the staff for providing a lovely evening and meal. We definitely plan to return soon. Thanks again!"

"I visited this restaurant over the weekend and ordered the hunter's chicken, which was listed on the menu as chicken breast. However, it was served as a chicken leg, and since I only eat chicken breast, I would have appreciated being informed about this beforehand. Additionally, it was still quite early on Saturday night, and they had already run out of vodka, which was quite disappointing. A fellow patron we spoke to was also unhappy after receiving a questionable Guinness. We were drawn to the restaurant because their website and social media posts advertised a singer named Jordan Clarke, whose voice we enjoy. However, upon arriving, we found out that a completely different performer was on stage, and there was no announcement regarding this change. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and a significant letdown."

"Lovely little café restaurant, cosy atmosphere inside. Came here on a Monday evening for dinner following a recommendation and it did not disappoint! The pad Thai was yum and I highly recommend the red curry if you like a sweet creamy curry with a hint of spice! I could just drink the sauce alone! I will definitely come back. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options were available and clearly listed separately on the menu Parking: No parking available as the restaurant is in a no drive area but after 6:30 you could park on one of the roads near by and walk."

"An absolute gem of a place, from the welcome when arriving, lovely lovely staff, to the food, Boutique hotel feel in the rooms to the local friendly feeling pub. A bonus staying on a Thursday night is the pub quiz! Gorgeous village to wander around too with the river on the doorstep. Rooms: Room was really luxurious and excellent value for money. Touches like the fresh milk and orange juice and high quality coffer and tea make a difference as well as tasteful decor and high quality bed Nearby activities: Definitely good for a mooch around the village and look at the river ribble. Lovely place. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury"

"Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and had plenty of tables to choose from. We started with the Clawsome Fries, a sharable appetizer, and decided we’d order more if we felt like it. The fries were topped with melted cheddar, white crab meat, crème fraîche, chives, tiger prawns, sour cream, crispy onions, and jalapeños – what an explosion of flavors! The portion was enormous and offered fantastic value; we were so satisfied that we only managed a sandwich each for dinner. The value, taste, and the menu full of intriguing options have left me eager to return and try more dishes! I was also delighted to see a good selection of vegetarian options, which is perfect since my son doesn’t eat meat. I'm confident he'll find something to enjoy here. We will definitely be back! "What was once always with a log fire on and the hanging hops with local authors books available to buy, is now quite a bland place, was a shame, a little bit of history maybe to the menu at least, where have all the old photos from 100s of years back. Low score based on this point only, the service and staff were great, but lacked its history and with that also its atmosphere. Maybe fire regulations the hops where removed, but most definitely, the old photos over the centuries are missing, making it more of a cold place with no regards to the many who have owned the woolpack. It's like white washed it's past. Which is a shame, many many events and people were a part of this pub in the middle of nowhere, boxing day hunt, the cats and the good old burning log fire has gone, yet if you stand under it... you can still smell the burning of 100s of years ago. At least it still has that. It's always been a great place with a lovely garden and I hope you enjoy your visit, research online the history as its a very old traditional pub and steeped in so many stories. I hope they think about this and bring g some stuff back. Please."

"Popped in for a quick family lunch. Amazing food, lovely busy cafe but the reason I have given a negative star rating is the one particular staff member the lady who greeted us, had a very rude attitude not sure if it was towards us in particular or if she had a bad day. I gave her the benefit of the doubt until we had asked for the bill and she flung the bill at our table, leaving us all very startled! So, I’m not very sure if I will be going back again as it’s left a bad taste."

"Have been here a couple of times for a cuppa, but this time we decided to book a table for lunch. There was an excellent range of fish dishes on offer, so my hubby and I had the grilled plaice which was nicely cooked nice to have the option of potatoes and veg accompanying the meal, rather than the ubiquitous chips and peas though these were also an option, should you prefer them (my son opted for these with his scampi). There was also the alternative of having a mixed salad as an accompaniment my mother in law went for this option with her sea bass, and the salad looked really fresh and delicious. We didn’t stay for dessert, but the homemade puddings looked incredible, and portions very generous! It was very busy by 1pm, so I would recommend booking a table if you’re coming for lunch."
