"Yes, living in Munich's Glockenbachviertel has its ups. One of them being the ready availability of good restaurants. So when, after a hard day's work, we felt like going out for a quick bite, we were confronted with an overload of viable options. We opted for Usagi because the wife had been here before and quite liked it.Long story short, this is a great place for a quick bite. The ambience is nice. Not what you would expect from a restaurant specialising in Japanese cuisine, and that is a good thing. The waiters were extremely fast, efficient, but - most importantly - knowledgeable. The wife wanted to try the cardamom tonic water, and they came up with a fitting gin (a Dutch one from the extremely well stocked drinks menu). As for food, we simply stuck with small dishes, and quite a few of them. Everything was fresh, very nicely presented, and tasted in a way that someone who grew up in Düsseldorf simply could not complain about. The home-made kimchi was very nice, as was, truth be told (and check out the pictures) everything else. The only downside: The restaurant only offers three types of beer. One Japanese (maize and rice), one from Baden-Wuerttemberg (and there is a reason that state is famous for its wines, and infamous for its attempts at beer), and a local craft beer we had tried before and written up as a sorry mistake. But who needs beer when the cocktail menu well stocked, well presented, and affordable?Overall, we had a pleasant dinner. Usagi completely lacks any more refined Japanese dishes, but what they offer is well executed, equally well presented, reasonably priced - and really very tasty. Nice!"

We ran into this resturant hungry and tired not looking for much. The problem with the place was the price compared to the small size of the portions of the not outstanding food which is part of the bad review. The second was the loud music, cramped space and the uncoordinated staff that asked questions too frequently.

Usagi does give you a new experience. The japanese food served in Tapas style are delicious and well decorated. The Ramen noodles are delicious, the Gyozos were extraordinary and the place has nice anime style theme to it. Price is a bit higher than average for the portions they serve though. Therefore 4/5Worth the experience View menu

Discovered this little Japanese tapas place on an evening stroll around the neighborhood. The lachs tataki (salmon with avocado) was spectacular. I also highly recommend the chilli garlic edamame starter and gyozas. Overall the experience was very umami . The staff was great. Sidenote: sipping the sake from giant white wine glasses felt a bit odd.

The food is very delicious, they have great wine, Whisky and Drinks (try the Open Sesame! . It's great for food sharing, the atmosphere is very cosy and intimate. Due to the open kitchen it can get a little warm and smelly in there and the team really tries hard to ensure air circulation. And hey you can watch while your food is getting prepared. The staff sometimes has a rough tone but I can handle that, don't bother too much, they are all okay. You need to make a reservation. Unfortunately not a lot of outdoor space.

"This restaurant has a very informative homepage! The pictures and descriptions of the food very appealing. Vietnamese and Thai dishes and sushi are offered here. At noon very cheap offers, but also the prices for evening are still ok. When I read that a lot of value is placed on fresh ingredients and preparation, that sounds promising in any case. The images from the local area also made me positive. I chose the place to eat there with a group of 8 people. But I'd rather go to the number safe and wanted to make a small pre-test today. When I stood in front of the place, I remembered that I've been here a few times when it was the Mistura Tropicana. I had this from the ambience and the temperatures but not so good memories. It has changed visually but very positively. Much dark wood and also dark tables, chairs and benches. The walls in a beautiful cream yellow. In front of the windows the green curtains are a beautiful color pick. As usual in more and more restaurant 's, the bar is illuminated indirectly with LED, here in a green. My accompaniment didn't find it too good, but I did. Only disturbing for me was a bright, bright metal tree in the entrance area. I don't think it's the rest of the place. LEIDER was very cool. The oven was probably turned on quite late. It became a bit warmer during the evening. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend a cardigan here. The tables are very nicely covered and there are small floral decorations and tea lights. But they only burn at the tables that are occupied and that was only our table at 6:00. At about 10 a.m. there was another couple, otherwise the place remained empty. The service was super friendly and super attentive and yet with restraint. At dinner I did not discover my beloved Bo La Lot on the map, a pity! So my choice fell on baked Wantan (3,90€) that are made themselves. They were already at the table. That really went very hard. But they were really made themselves. The filling is quite captive/compact (I lack the appropriate word to describe it better, but well tasted. They were very crispy. Sweet Chili Sauce also tasted good. We didn't have to wait long for the main courts. Once roasted rice ribbon noodles with chicken (10,50€ and once red curry with tofu and vegetables (9,50€ . Great that they are placed in bowls on a small tree, so the dishes are warm longer. The dishes were served in beautiful bowls. Only the parsley as decoration is already very retro; taste also very good. Vegetables had a slight bite. Beverage prices: 0.4l water for 2.50€, soft drinks/choices 0.4l for 3,50€ and wine 0.2l for 4,00€. And unfortunately again here the beer is cheaper than a soft drink: 0.5l for 3.50€. Our desire for separate invoices was met without any problems and we were offered an espresso or schnapps etc. Here we liked to pamper with a plum wine. There are still a few small comments: Sushi is not available for the next 14 days (Sushimeister has vacation we only experienced on request, I would have liked to know as an info if the menu is handed over toilets are in the basement, so not disabled. However clean, although very 70s The customer parking places are not freed from snow (request: obviously the evaluation was read, because at the 2nd. Visit was the snow cleared A few words to the 2nd visit with 8 people: The place was not overly crowded again, but there was a birthday party in the basement that had only made karaoke and from 20/20.30 we went up to the restaurant for dinner, but we had just been in the break. Service very nice and friendly. Beverages and food were often served only from one side and we guests should then pass on, we all found a little disturbing. Better 4 guests from one side and the other 4 then from the other side. There was Krupuk. Afterwards we still have mango with a mixture of salt, garlic, chili and shrimp powder get VERY sharp, interesting and tasty. In addition, candied ginger (also delicious . All ordered dishes have been good and very good! Only the fact that Pangasius was panned in the Rotcurry was not so beneficial. Because he was covered with redcurry, the panade was very soft and gly. Either I got to serve it separately from each other or better: use Pangasius nature. In the menu there was no indication of panade. Portions all very big! Service and food have definitely convinced me and I also like the ambience. (Okay, except on the flashing LED tree."
