I had high hopes when I visited AWT's pub, and I was not disappointed. The roast was excellent in quality and we received fantastic service, with the staff even rearranging tables to accommodate our two prams at the last minute. The service throughout the meal was perfectly timed. The pub itself is also lovely, decorated beautifully for Christmas. I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all 5 out of 5.

Arrived at 11:45 to find the entrance to the garden closed and padlocked.A member of staff advised that as they served food from 12:00, the entrance would remain closed until then.Once we got in, it turned out the booking had been made for 4 and was challenged as to who made the error.Food was excellent, quick and well presented.Unfortunately let down by the welcome and staff attitude.

When we mentioned we wanted to eat, he was dismissive and insisted we needed to book a table. Disappointed, we decided to try the Unicorn instead. What a difference! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the menu was reasonably priced and expertly prepared. We enjoyed our meal in the beautiful garden, served by two young women named Rachel and Laura.
