"A tiny Japanese restaurant in Quartier Latin. This is not a Chinese restaurant converted into a Japanese one, but a real one with a Japanese chef. The restaurant has seating at street level and a long table for 8-10 persons in the basement. So if youndo not make reservations in time, you might end up in the basement, and share the table with other people. Since the table is large, you still have enough privacy (we ended up in the basement and had a great evening). We tried two of the menus, Azabu and Osashimi, the difference being that Osashimi includes a sashimi in addition to the starter, maincourse and desert of the Azabu menu. Portions are not to big, but if you take the extras into account which were presented to us by the restaurant (miso soup and and egg dish) we had enough to eat. The salmon sashimi comes 'in parts' and you assemble it yourself at the table. The salmon starter is also worth to order. One of us had octopus as main course, which was very tasty and well prepared. I had tuna, which was also very well prepared. Desert was a cake, and a fruit salad. The quality of wine was a positive surprise, Sancerre La Cote des Monts Damnés 2014. Good quality for a reasonable price.Staff is extremely friendly and speaks also English."
