"We went to Barnacles for the first time last night. The restaurant itself is in lovely grounds, the staff and the service were good and the food was amazing. Our only complaint is that we couldn't eat all we ordered.......be prepared the sharer on the starter is more like a main meal for two!!!!! I could hardly touch my trio of fish main as was just too full. Our fault though and would order differently next time. We will certainly be returning. A little gem of a place."

Went for my birthday on the 3rd Jan. Service was excellent and the food was absolutely amazing. Really good size portions too. It’s not cheap, but worth every penny. Ant wait to eat there again

lovely setting, booked with ease online, arrived slightly early invited to sit at the bar, view menu ordered gordons pink, all staff very attentive, food was prompt, fresh and fabulous highly recommended can't believe its taken this long to try it

we thought here on the way back from the lake district was an early dinner after we read reviews on travel advisors. we had a year with us and the staff could not have been more friendly. we got a table away from others that was perfect when he made a little noise, we were not made to feel uncomfortable. his food was bought quickly, followed by our shortly after. that was great. I would definitely recommend the cocose and shrimp curry. would definitely return.
