"We came up to Darley Dale for an overnight stay for a wedding, so we decided to avail ourselves of the restaurant while we were there. We were pleasantly rewarded with well prepared and tasty food in a traditional English food style menu. Nothing fancy, just good, wholesome fare at reasonable prices. I had the mixed game pie with vegetables and the wife had plaice. Both very nice. We also enjoyed our overnight stay in this old and traditional establishment. Probably slightly dated now and carpark small but the rooms comfortable and nice showers and there is parking down the adjacent Station Road, so not too much of an issue."

We visited here for Sunday lunch. We had 2 pate’s to start and a prawn cocktail. All good. Wine menu was good. Main course 1 lamb, 1 beef and 1 pork… again very good. Beautiful Yorkshire puddings and nice vegetables and potatoes with lovely gravy....

Excellent bar and restaurant with friendly, attentive and efficient staff. I only went in for quick pint, but both bars were pretty full and menu looked excellent. I/we look forward to eating and drinking here. Considering the difficulties of Covid and the various restrictions and Tiers, Barrington's are top notch!
