"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"Hard to rate this place. We had a good time at New Year's eve with a cosy and lively atmosphere with some music. Set menu for both for two plus a couple of glasses of wine/prosecco and it came to nearly 200 pounds. It's obviously not normally this expensive but not far off it. Food was not Italian but more European. It was good and well cooked, but portions a bit small for the price. Would I go back or recommend it? Sorry, no. Not for me. I am sure others would and do enjoy though so don't let me stop you. For me, I rather travel a bit further and go to more genuine Italian restaurants. "The fact that the restaurant didn't have an empty table while we were there emphasises its popularity and based upon our visit for the first time on Saturday 28th October, it has to be because of the quality of the food and service. We were served quickly, the food was tasty and hot and the young waitresses were very attentive in their duties. It didn't bother us that it wasn't licenced. We just took a bottle of wine with us and paid the one pound per person corkage fee which worked out much cheaper than buying restaurant wine. My partner thought that cost wise it was more expensive than other Thai restaurants we have been to. Whether that was the case or not though is immaterial when you consider how satisfied we were with our evening."

"We ordered from Domingos for the first time on Saturday. It was a large order 8 pizzas. From ordering to delivery Richard kept in touch, confirming the order and letting us know it was on its way. It arrived on time and didn’t disappoint. The pizzas were hot, extremely tasty and went down very well with all. The bases are lovely and light. We had family round who all commented on how nice the food was. Great food and service. Much, much nicer than other well known pizza delivery companies. We will definitely be ordering these again. Thank you."
