Bistro Du Vin - Menu

The restaurant staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was tasty and well presented. Visitors to St. Andrews should try the restaurant even if you are not staying overnight at the hotel.

Booked three weeks in advance on arrivel were told you haven't booked here , wee do have a table Wee can give you for an hour considering we paid 180 pounds for four poeple it was a expensive hour but the food was amazing .

Restaurant fantastic Unfortunately the confirmed reservation I made through open table had not made its way to the restaurant. Given it was lunch on Easter Sunday you can imagine how busy it was but they managed to fit us in

Still a bit patchy but only opened recently. Three tiny scallops do not a starter make. Beef needed several more hours in a slow oven to make it tender. Other than this three diners were very happy. Good wine in variety of quantities worked well.

Good quality food and average price for this standard of quality. Quite a romantic and plant setting. However service was slow (as it was on previous visit) and the restaurant did not have enough staff on to cover. Frequently had to ask for service with long waits in between.

We celebrated a belated 50th birthday at this restaurant. The tasting menu was offered at an amazing price of less than £60 per person. The food was delicious and the wines were perfectly matched. The service from Tom and Phoebe, M. was impeccable. We will definitely return in the future.

We were greeted warmly and received perfect service from Daryl. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious! A special mention to their BLT sandwich. We paid with a gift voucher and unfortunately left without leaving a tip for Daryl. We feel bad about it but we will definitely be back! Liz and Bob.

Surroundings and atmosphere are great and the service is friendly and efficient. However, the food is distinctly average (or below) so I could not honestly recommend the bistro as a place to go for a good meal. Disappointing as we have been to a Hotel du Vin before and the standard was much higher. The bistro was quite empty on a Friday night, the management need to up their game to take advantage of their great location.

Stayed in this hotel and was able to dine in the restaurant several times over our stay daily for breakfast and once for dinner. All were just okay. The Staff Mixed. Some of them are a little snooty and not friendly. Some are super nice and welcoming. Depending on who you get, you could have a pleasant or not pleasant experience. One guy is a bit rude, I forget who he is. But he works in the evenings. The Food Is okay. Nothing fancy and not worth the price for dinner. But the portions are very generous.
