"we were a party of five for a dinner at a cold, cold Sunday in april. we had a comfortable table with a beautiful view of the charming village. the service was cheerful and attentive. we all ordered aperitifs that were good and quite expensive., a special house cocktail with chestnut liqueur, good scotch and cognac. the disappointment began with the meunus. there were four shapes, starting with we all chose the menu, three courses with limited selection. the starters showed some unbreeding. we had a cream broth made of foie grass and a foamy cream that covers half a dozen fat chicks. so far, although the chick bowl was served. for the main course we confined ourselves to the basic perigord spins: duck jam, duck breast, cadjau, ribeye steak or a vegetarian plate with kartoffels. of what we could see, there was nothing green that was contained everywhere. the portions were sufficient, but there were no traces in the preparation. at this price they expect some manifestation in the composition, and at least correctness: the steak ordered rare came medium rare pink; the duck ordered pink came ****. everyone decided to have a fit on dessert and simply has coffee. that was a mistake. I would not have been surprised if they still had the full each accused as there was no option for two courses at a lower price, but on the bill were counted all the dishes to the a la carte trips. we didn't notice at that time or we said something. when it happened, our overall result came the same, but if we had all ordered the most expensive choices, we would have paid more than if we had taken desserts! the wine list was small, but well selected and reasonable. the bottom line is decent, but I had more exciting offers for three courses with a reduction for skipped dessert."

good inexpensive food sitting out on the apron in the main square in Tremolat. Would certainly go back. The table d'hote lunch is a particulary good deal.

located in the beautiful place trémolat, this simply designed bistro offers a good yet short, well-priced traditional (lunch) menu, which is to be enjoyed in the sun in summer (especially) outside.

I had the duck confit which was dry. It came with pieces of lettuce and chips only. My wife had the prawn risotto, which was some average grilled prawns resting on very bland risotto. All in all an average meal.

We returned to this restaurant which we have visited in previous years. During a few weeks in the Dordogne we ate here several times, with friends and with children. The menu is very good with fixed price options or a la carte. The quality of...food is great and the service excellent as you would expect being in the same ownership as the Michelin starred hotel nearby. Overall highly recommended.

This restaurant is beautiful. My wife and I have been five years running now and it gets better every time. The location is stunning, the venue is very authentic and the service was brilliant. The young man who served my wife and I was particularly...attentive, allowing me to use my very poor French before sorting us out very professionally. The food, as ever, was just stunning, the steak my wife has was cooked to perfection Bien Cuit (well done) which isn't easy in France !!!!! When we go to the region we will be going ago. Thank you.

Belonging to the Relais Chateaux Le Vieux Logis hotel, this small bistrot presents great French food and a good wine list. Set next to the church, right at the main square of the little Tremolat village this restaurant offers outside tables some of them even...across the street. Service is excellent, especially when you are lucky enough to be served by Marie, a smiling and very kind head waitress. Duck either confit or in magret presentations are great and come accompanied by French fries fried in duck fat. I strongly hope that you'll like it. View menu

It was really unacceptable. The quality of the service and of the food was exceptionally low. Well, THE foie gras of Dordogne was a frozen preparation that was put in the freezer well before the lockdown.. Carpacho of salmon came from the local shop that...I could have bought for euros instead of payed. The pavée de beouf was like a little tiny pitiful thing lost on the plate. The ladies trying to serve were completely lost.. what a pity to leave euros for someone completely non professional who have just tried to catch up on their lockdown related financial problems… Plus jamais...

Finally, the bistro is opened again after unlocking. as a frequent diner in the bistro of the tartine and the vieux logis I could not wait until they open. Finally, the bistro opened its doors and I was thrilled by the re-exhibition. some of the best French cuisine in the opposite. this is not a sharp kitchen, but a good lunch type bistro measurement. the starter was a classic foie mousse followed by a delicate piece of bark meat and finished with a fresh strawberry mash on a house made panna cotta custard. chef vincent was there to ensure the highest standard and was very appreciated. the experience was as always a joy. the bistro like all restaurants has its good days and bad, that was a m...
