"A previous reviewer suggested that this is the quintessential English tearoom and I would disagree, simply on the basis of what is on offer here. Rather than simple pots of tea with scones and cakes, which I would suggest is the quintessential image of a tearoom, I have enjoyed everything here from a Full English, burger and chips, bacon butties, a great range of toasted sandwiches, salads etc., as well as the aforementioned scones and cakes. I would suggest therefore that this is a fine example of a typical British cafe. This has been our preferred cafe in Masham for several years now and the quality of food on offer and the excellent service has consistently been top class. They now offer plentiful outdoor seating in the Market Place as well as indoor seating and the high number of people enjoying hot drinks and snacks in the sunshine was testament to this cafe’s continuing popularity."

The restaurant offers a selection of simple, basic sandwiches and tea. The outside seating area needs improvement as it is in poor condition.

Visited the tea rooms earlier today for breakfast and was genuinely blown away how good the food was. The staff were also very friendly and we really enjoyed our time there

We called in for breakfast when visiting Masham. Plenty of choice and good vegan and veggie options. The staff were efficient and friendly. The lunch menu looked very good so we may call again. Definitely would recommend.

We enjoyed multiple delicious meals at this restaurant, including breakfasts and afternoon snacks. The staff is very friendly and the food is always top-notch. The menu has a lot of great options to choose from. We will definitely be coming back. View menu

I usually visit this restaurant for their delicious bacon sandwich, but unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing. The bacon sandwich lacked butter, making it very dry, and the bacon was overcooked. The cafe was not crowded, so I expected better quality.

Visited here a couple of times in Xmas week for takeaway breakfast offerings and was extremely impressed both times. Really friendly service, great value and would highly recommend the Baon Rolls. So tasty and packed full of bacon. Will definitely return the next time I am in Masham.

As the title says if you are looking for a quintessential English country tea room, look no further. It has seats and tables outside for take away food served from a window or tables inside for a more formal affair with a greater menu. We were sat in the quirky cove and served very promptly. The staff were all super friendly and food was delightful. Recommend the eggs Benedict a particular favourite of mine. Good value, good service, good food...easiest 5 stars I will ever give View menu

I was really disappointed with our food. And with the really snappy service from the takeaway window. Yet I’ve eaten inside so many times over the years and that’s been really good. But with COVID still rumbling. Safer to eat out Ordering was snappy. The food very poor when it came. The cooked breakfast too salty and yuck. The table filthy. Never saw any tables being wiped This was the stack of used coffee cups. Yes you were busy. Well I’m afraid you need more staff. Or you won’t get repeat trade

After our horrible breakfast the day before at another cafe in the area, we chose to try somewhere else before we drove the 3 hour journey home. Reading the menu outside we decided to try it as it said a toastie was £3.50 and chips an extra £1 so Liam and I sat inside and he chose the Bacon Brie Cranberry toastie and chips then I chose the Eggs Benedict, to drink was an apple juice each and Liam also had a pot of tea. The food was YUMMY! Very filling too, definitely couldn't fault it, even the service was great....until we came to pay. Turns out the toastie was £6 and chips were £3....so DOUBLE, just to sit inside and we felt that was a massive miscommunication on their part and slightly dis...

"all those people who leave 1 star (or low star reviews) have either extremely high expectations or just have to be out to harm the call of a gem of a sandwich shop. I stopped yesterday, was late for lunch to my surprise and joy that they were still open, was a waiting queue to eat, so I might have been happy that they thought they would do 1 more order. I had the cheese-cutney sandwich couldn't resist the Scotch egg with black pudding. the Scotch egg was phenomenal, black pudding mixed with the sausage meat, a soft egg yolk practically still runny, which I really did not expect to add only to the already large aromene, the egg comes with a small pot homemade brown sauce (ketchup is an option, but I prefer brown soße) also the soße is a normal but it is a manifestation, it is a the sandwich was ineffective, thick-cut cheese on a homemade roll with homemade chutney (I suppose when everything else was made home) filled with fresh salad, I am curious what the difference between this is the ploughman’s, as it was in the round a ploughmans sandwich. the brot, cheese salad were all fresh taste amazing, the chutney transformed it, was like a cross between chutney salsa like the brown sauce was more sweet without much flavor, but really a great amount taste to what was possibly the best sandwich I had ever had! well made youngs, eating is great a try worth. reasonably also consider that it is the center of harrogate."
